This week I am taking a break from the series we are in where I respond to questions that listeners have sent me. If you want to send in a real-life situation or question and have me respond, just email me at [email protected] and I will reply on an upcoming podcast. This week however due to the current state of our world I’m sharing some thoughts on war, the internal ones we fight, and the external ones that happen around us.

I have shared in an earlier episode about trust but let’s look a little closer as it seems to be something that is up for many of us in recent years.

While I have shared before about caring for and living happily in my/your body this week I have had a few other conversations and listened to more of the struggles that seem to be so prevalent and so I am diving in a bit deeper into how we learn to love our body.

How is your body today?
Are there aches, pains
Tensions, strains?
Does it feel lively and strong,
Happily humming along?
Can you sense yourself inside of it?
Can you…occupy your space?
Isn’t it a wonder?
This body…this home…this miracle.
When we take the time to pay attention
When we slow down, breathe deep, turn in
We may discover infinity in here
The answers to our greatest queries
The serenity we seek
All the worlds we wish to travel
That which we long to commune with
Pray to, listen for
Resides right here, in us
As us, is us
Isn’t it a wonder?
This body…this home…this miracle.
We are the cosmos embodied
The divine taken form
We are ocean and mountain
Songbird and rain
We are sunrise and moonbeam
The thundering of hooves
We are flowering trees
And night-blooming jasmine
We are vast open spaces
And deep ancient caves
We are the song of the whale
The flutter of wings
We are all of this and more
We are truly, everything
Isn’t it a wonder?
This body…this home…this miracle.
Let us offer thanks and praises
For this blessing of blessings
And may we all learn to become
Home-Bodies
At home, at ease, in joy
Right here in our luminous bodies.
Shabbat Shalom,
Miriam Chaia
