Conversations with Friends Episode 14 is a conversation with my friend, Rhesa Napoli. Rhesa and I met in Portland a couple of years back over some plant based convo and I am super excited to share her passion and knowledge with you all today!!!

Rhesa is a healer, walking her path to learn her most valuable healing tools. She is a naturopath in Portland, OR, working to get her energy into the community and around the bodies that need it most. Rhesa and I met in an attempt to have her work with my family at our juice bar in Portland just so she could connect with the community. She is driven to serve. 

Rhesa is currently living in a small neighborhood in Portland that is overcoming years of challenges. She recently joined the Board of Green Lents, a local non-profit organization started by Jalene Littlejohn. Green Lents is a grassroots group dedicated to adding to the Lents community. Rhesa and I worked on the local food forest together as neighbors in Lents. Tuning into sustainable, land restorative food growing practices really matters to Rhesa and she is working towards finding ways to spread plant healing powers to the many.

Tune into our most recent convo and learn a bit more about naturopathy, how herbalism is working in other countries and we even get into where God is from... the Trinidadians believe he is a local... though has her moved???!!!

Welcome back to Conversations with Friends! Episode 13 is a conversation with my friend and my mama, Janell Jones. Janell and I go way back.

A couple of weeks ago, my mother agreed to speak to a friends family about her own healthy living program and how she stops taking medications by eating a whole foods diet. Her passion and motivational energy was so hype, she had me considering my entire lifestyle! I knew I had to share her story with more. My friend confirmed by suggesting we do a podcast together, so here you are.

Janell is a passionate woman that has learned how to funnel her energy into making changes in her life. I have watched her change over the years by making conscious lifestyle choices that look like small daily actions that move towards a new solution. It is amazing to witness your parents grow. 

She agreed to share some of her love on the podcast and I am super thankful and excited to share some of my family energy. If this is the only time we combine our voices on a public platform, I am so grateful we got it done. Her story is very real and simple, yet powerful.

Conversations with Friends Episode 12 is a conversation with my friend, Ryan Mores. Ryan and I met when the family and I returned to the desert this spring. I think we both knew pretty quickly that we were on the same team.

I met Ryan while looking for valley resources and organizations interested in and planting food forests in Phoenix. We met over tea and the conversation took off. I remember leaving that first hang out with my new friend thinking... well, I have been back in the desert about a month now and I am already having food forest conversations!!! Things are really on point for major work!

 Ryan is a busy and empowered mover and shaker living in Tempe, Arizona. He is the Community Education Manager with the Watershed Management Group https://watershedmg.org/, a Tuscon based non-profit that is committed to educating smart water use throughout Arizona. He uses his natural skills, respect and love for our Mother Earth to bring the local community into workshops, classes, demonstrations and hands on work to learn about water conservation and sustainable living, in the valley. 

Ryan has a passion for community work, bridging econonics with sustainability (a great part of today's convo too). He co-founded GreenLight Solutions Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps connect sustainability students at Arizona State University, with local businesses looking for eco friendly operations procedures. I recently attended a monthly meet up of the group and felt a really dope vibe through combining the energy of student life with the needs of the business world. My friend is a warrior in the business world, adding his vision to the whole of desert sustainable living. He is also a yogi, a plant lover, a child and explorer of the Earth of the the SELF. I love any time we connect because the convo always goes deep. Like when I invited Ryan on the show and scheduled the air date for today, October 22nd and he said... YES! 22 has always been my favorite number. :) When things are in frequency, they just are. The universe takes us where we need to be always. LISTEN!!!

Conversations with Friends Episode 11 is a conversation with my friend, Kristen O'Brien. Kristen and I met in Colorado a few years ago at a doTerra Tribe retreat. It was the first weekend I had ever been away from my children. I had some of my highest vibing mama friends with me though. It was a powerful weekend.

Kristen is an all powerful woman soul here to move mountains! (I heard last night that if you do not believe you can move mountains, you will never see that it is possible. MANY mountains have been moved in human history. BELIEVE!!!) This mama has found her passion in healing by using plants with her family and her community at large. She has created a large doTerra plant family business and has personally assisted in the healing of hundreds of humans over the last few years. She also built a stable and ever growing income with doTerra. Whether you feel like it or not, when you know things that will help others, you dig within and find a way to GET IT OUT!!! Kristen is doing this. She is encouraging so many others to do it. Side by side, we will heal together. It is how our Earth guides us. These amazing gifts of the Earth.

Conversations with Friends Episode 10 is a conversation with my friend, Ginger Galloway. Ginger and I were connected through another past friend of the show, James Woods. James saw something in the both of us that said ... Yall need to know each other... and he was spot on!

Ginger is a beautiful soul, woman, mama, sister, friend, mentor. She is a community activist and supporter of the arts. She is an author, playwright, editor, teacher, homesteader and so much more. She is an inspiration to me. If I am going to be alive, I want to try everything my energy is drawn too. I have no filter for experience. If I want it, I go for it. Ginger is the type of friend that let's me know this is more than ok. She encourages me to try my best, to go for it and to follow my heart.

If you are an artist, a creator, a writer, a painter... whatever you enjoy. If you need some energy to pick you up and remind you that you TRULY CAN DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO!!! Tune into this episode! Ginger will breath life into your fire. I felt it. I am sure you will too.

Conversations with Friends Episode 9 is a really valuable conversation with my friend, Hayley Gardner. Hayley and I met in Portland OR at our juice cart a few years back and have been building ever since. I am grateful she is sharing her voice with us today. This woman is a library of knowledge!

Hayley is a licensed acupuncturist based out of Slidell LA. She and her partner recently relocated back south (chasing the sun much like my family did too) and have envisioned, created and now opened their newest business venture, Estuary Herbs, a high quality, potent Chinese healing herb/food collection. She is using her studies, professional experience, travels and mentors long traditions to bring the ancient knowledge of the East to the West and her patients, family and friends are grateful for her calling.

My friend and I continue to build and bridge, creating more ways to share how plants heal and why they grow for us all. Conversations with Friends Episode 8 is a conversation with my friend, April Bassette. April and I have been close friends since freshman year of high school. Our converstations were good then and they are only getting better.

April is one of my closeset friends and is a continual inspiration in my life. I am excited to share her voice and loving energy. She is currently starting a new business as a life coach so she can share her vibrations with so many more. There is a certain way she inspires her friends and family. A straight to the point approach that will always be upfront and honest with those she loves. It is meeting you where you are at and helping you look within to answer the right questions for internal growth. 

My friend and I have grown through many stages together. I am super amped to watch her move into this new phase of life and expand her heart space through her sphere. April was my Gemini catalyst that pushed me to stop hiding and get my voice out into the world. I carry her with me along my path knowing my friend believes in what I was born to be and I feel the same way about her. 

April and I are have been working on a joint business venture that will be fully released in early 2019. I love watching our bond grow into new areas of life and continually encourage us to "faith it til we make it".

Conversations with Friends Episode 7 is a conversation with my friend, Chris Chin. Chris and I met working together in Portland and instantly connected. Conversations developed around websites and branding and we made some stuff happen together. 

Chris is a social media marketing professional currently based in Portland OR. He specializes in building online brands through content production and social media leveraging. His company, Polished Agency, guided me through creating my first website, AlignwithPlants.com. The step by step program was exactly what I needed to be able to get my site up and running and regularly producing content.

He told me then that if I kept up with the site for at least one year, updating it regularly, the audience would organically grow and he was 100% correct. Right around the one year mark, the site began recieving visits from folks around the world. Consistent content is what online marketing is all about.
