Conversations with Friends, episode 22, is a conversation with a new friend, Ben Anderson. Ben and I were connected through another recent friend of the show, Quilen Blackwell. Here is a little bit about Ben.

"Ben Anderson is the Chief Development Officer at Chicago Eco House where he works with neighbors to convert blighted lots into beautiful off-grid flower farms running on rainwater & the sun. This role combines his experience in corporate sales with his passion for the environment and his neighborhood in on the southside: West Woodlawn. 

He is most of proud of working alongside his neighbors when they built Vernon Park Gardens, an Eco House flower farm plus a community garden & neighborhood stage in the summer of 2018. You can find Ben in his backyard feeding his ten chickens or at one of the many local neighborhood meetings he attends."

Eco House is leading the way in creating sustainable opportunities for our youth today and for the generations that are to come. Conversations with Friends Episode 20 is a conversation with my friend, Isaiah Aaron Spriggs... but you can call him Aaron.

Aaron and I met a couple years ago in Portland through a local community organization, Deep Underground. I met with some DUG team members and also met Aaron and instantly knew we had a similar vibration. I didn't know much about Aaron then, though I knew he had a light to share and I wanted to add some fuel to it.

Aaron is a man of his family. He is a feeler and uses this ability to communicate the depth of the human experience with his audience. He is a community supporter and encourager of the marginalized of our cities. Aaron is an amazing poet too!  Check out some of his poetry in motion in this video here!  AND he is one of the contributors and opening poet in the new poetry anthology I published this year  (available for purchase here) ancient future: a poetry anthology.

I am grateful to know you friend! There is something about the ability of the Scorpio soul to express the deepest aspects of the human experience that I need in my sphere. I appreciate and honor your composition friend, and am cheering your growth, healing and work on. Thank you for sharing your energy and insight with the show. I look forward to watching you continue to get your voice out and find all the ways to share what you have with your community (and I think we are looking at a book in the near future too??)

Conversations with Friends Episode 19, is a conversation with a friend Darryn LaMonte. Darryn is an astrologer and provided me my first sidereal zodiac reading a couple of years back. I was opened to new energies available in the sky after this reading. I was super excited to invite Darryn on the show and share some of his starseer energy with you all.

Darryn has been around astrology for most of his life. We sat down and recorded this episode on the new Anchor podcast host site and for whatever reasons the first episode did not save. We lost our first hour of convo where we discussed Darryn's background and how he found himself reading the stars. I have asked him back on the show to share more, though today's episode is tuning into what sidereal astrology is and what the stars have in store for us in the coming years.

We talk past and future astrological placements, what types of changes we can expect based on the stars and how using our natal charts can help us align with the energies of above and below.
