  • Unsigned518 Podcast #73, Joe Mansman and the Midnight Revival Band
This was a really cool episode for me to record. I have been a fan of the band since long before the podcast, so to have them over to the Dazzle Den for a couple of beers and a good conversation was a cool milestone for me. This also clocks in at one of the longest Unsigned518 episodes, at an even hour. We just had so much fun and had so much to talk about. There are tales from the road, details about some very personal lyrics, and a ton of laughs. So, enjoy episode 73: Joe Mansman and The Midnight Revival Band

  • Unsigned518 Podcast #71, At Lights Wake
I had heard of At Lights Wake from my good friend Dave Tyo, who is producing their music, He told me that they were really nice guys, who played brutally heavy music. He was not wrong on either account. Having been a band for only about a year, At Lights Wake;s first couple singles really made an impact. There is more music on the way and I expect a ton of great stuff from this band. So, check out At Lights Wake on Episode 71 of Unsigned518.

  • Unsigned518 Podcast #70, House of Saturn

I met House of Saturn at the Jive Hive when this podcast was only 1 or 2 episodes old. We talked about having them on the show then, but it took until now to make it happen, so I am extra psyched about this one. They are so talented and adept at making music, but like a lot of the folks I have met through the Hive, they are also really, truly wonderful people. So if you are unfamiliar with the House of Saturn, get ready to meet this amazing band.

  • Unsigned518 Podcast #69, John Prylo of Twilight Drive
When my band, ShortWave RadioBand was first playing out as our solidified five-piece lineup, Twilight Drive were one of the first bands that we played with. It was at the Troy Speakeasy and let's just say that there were not a lot of people out that night. Like none. So our bands basically performed for each other and we had a lot of time to get to know each other and we became fast friends. Also, Darryl of Twilight Drive was the very first guest I recorded on Unsigned518. So it was really cool to finally have another member of Twilight Drive on the show. Twilight Drive is a 3-piece that sounds like a 7-piece or more. Very layered, driving sounds with all 3 members doing at least 2 different things at a time. Really an interesting band and very friendly dudes. I'm happy for you to hear about Twilight Drive, if you are not familiar. They are about to make a splash in the 518, I can feel it.

  • Unsigned518 Podcast #68, Frank Palangi
From horror movies, to music to hosting his own show on a UK streaming station, Frank Palangi does it all. I recently had the chance to talk to Frank from his studio in Queensbury and we went into his history with music and filmmaking and about all the internationally known musicians that he has not only interviewed, but recorded songs with. Frank is a gem in the 518 and I expect that he will continue to rise and do great things and cement his legacy in the 518, the US and the World.

  • Unsigned518 Podcast #67, Ampevene
It was a pleasure having Gabe Stallman of Ampeven come by the Dazzle Den and even though I pronounced his band name wrong for the first half of this recording (sorry, Gabe!) I think he had a good time, too. We talk alot about some of Gabes musical influences and how he approaches songwriting, which gives us a nice peek inside of his creative mind as he really delves deep into how he crafts songs. We get to listen to a 17 minute-long  Ampevene epic and get to meet the Chemistress, a fully developed character from the new Ampevene song of the same name. It is a really interesting conversation and I think you'll fully enjoy Episode 67 with Gabe Stallman of Ampevene.

  • Unsigned518 Podcast #66, Yeah Universe
Yeah Universe are not only a great band with a sharp sense of timing and humor, but are also really cool people to hang out with. I had them over to the Dazzle Den and we had such a great and lengthy conversation that I almost forgot to press record. We go not only into the beginnings of Yeah Universe, but we also discuss their individual influences and hear a few tunes from them. Check out Yeah Universe on Episode 66 of Unsigned518.
