In today's episode I talk about New Year's resolutions and challenge you to make 2020 the year you overcome your sugar addiction. Time to put the intention out there and I will help you start prepping in the upcoming episodes.
In today's episode I talk about our recent family vacation to Disneyland and how I managed to stay sugar and flour free. In hindsight, I could have been a lot better prepared!
In today's episode I talk about sugar addiction and what that term means to me. I know that it is not medically recognized and therefore there are a lot of people out there not getting the help they need. This is incredibly frustrating for me! Now that I am finally free of my addiction, I want to help others and I think getting the right treatment is crucial. I hope this starts a dialog and at the end I have a plea to Oprah for her help and intervention in getting this changed! Oprah, I know if anyone can make it happen, it's you! xxoo
In today's episode I talk with Dr. Vera Tarman about food addiction syndrome and it's chronic progressive nature. This might help to explain why various plans work for some people and not others, or even for the same person at one time (and not at another time) - all about the progressive changing nature. Dr. Vera Tarman is the Medical Director for Renascent, one of Canada’s largest drug and alcohol treatment centers. She spearheaded their new in AND out patient programs in food addiction. She is the author of Food Junkies: Recovery from Food Addiction. Dr. Tarman is also in food addiction recovery herself , having maintained a 100 pound weight loss for over ten years. She can be reached through her website AddictionsUnplugged.Com.

In today's episode I talk about how EASY my first mammogram was today! I was so scared and it wasn't painful or unpleasant at all! I also talk a little bit about traveling the past 2 weeks, changing up my breakfast and being proud of how I dealt with a very stressful situation recently. Progress is being made!
In today's episode I talk about taking self-care up a notch in what I am calling exuberant self-care! I think it's critical in times of high stress to really look at what we can do to deliberately take better care of our emotional, mental and physical health.
In today's episode I interview Mike Collins, founder of SugarAddiction.com and Co-Host of the Kick Sugar Summit. Mike has been completely sugar-free for over 30 years and has worked closely with others to help them regain lives ravaged by various substance use disorders. What is most amazing to me though, and what we really talk a lot about in this episode, is how he raised two children sugar-free from the womb to over six years old - when they only had sugar once a month for their entire childhood!!!
