I share about the power of the 2 am Truth: That moment where you have a stomach-punching realization something is not right with my life.

I talk about the warning signs that you aren't following the messages coming from your intuition. One of the big ones is GUILT.  From the seemingly inconsequential choices at the supermarket to the duties we perform out of sheer obligation, I reveal the subtle ways in which our lives become tethered by the guilt of quitting—and how confronting it can pave the way to personal growth and joy.

Harnessing personal power and choice is a mantra I encourage you to adopt as you recognize the impact your decisions hold over your life.

It's important to recognize how deeply ingrained these tethers are. From genetic coding being revealed by epigenetics, the influence of inherited patterns,  the beliefs we hold, the patterning in our nervous system – these tethers hold down the untapped potential within us all.

As someone who grew up in faith-based schooling with restrictive norms and shame-based practices, the word "pleasure" has long given me the heebie jeebies. 

Until very recently, I couldn't even imagine, let alone EMBRACE, a world or belief system where pleasure and autonomy are embraced rather than shamed. 

Yet, here we are, about to share a conversation with Courtney Boyer that could be the very key to unlock a life filled with more vibrancy and authenticity for so many. THIS is an important conversation – probably one of the most important conversations we can be having.

For your health's sake: give yourself permission!

Have you ever considered the health benefits of being unapologetically yourself? 

In this Thursday Thread episode, we pull out a little thread from Dr. Cindy's episode to talk about how giving yourself permission to live fully and authentically in alignment with yourself is the BEST thing you can do for yourself, down to your actual health. 

When your thoughts and beliefs are not congruent with your actions and behavior, your body goes into self-protection mode. Your sympathetic nervous system gets activated. It signals to the brain that there is something wrong – there's danger! So, your brain pumps cortisol to help you jump into action and fix whatever is wrong. A constant natural drip of cortisol causes longterm inflammation and a host of medical problems. 

Alternatively, when you are in full alignment and joy - fully living your truth, your parasympathetic is activated. This is where you rest, you digest, and you heal. It's where you are your most creative!

When you are you in your most aligned way, and when you write yourself a permission slip to be YOU, you get to hand out permission slips to other people so they can do the same. How cool is that?!

You are healing the world by being you.

Granting yourself the freedom to live authentically is not merely a path to personal fulfillment, but an actual cornerstone of holistic health. As we discuss the power of writing a 'prescription to be yourself,' you'll discover the surprising connections between authenticity, reduced stress, and a lowered risk of inflammation and autoimmune diseases. Do you struggle with being consistent?

Here's a follow-up question:

Are you doing more of what you feel you "have" to do or "need" to do, as opposed to what brings you joy?

In this Thursday Thread episode, I pull a an unexpected thread from Poornima's episode on Tuesday. In her conversation, we spent a lot of time talking about healing ourselves, but there was this little note about consistency and how to continuously move toward greater health and happiness.

So here's a mic drop for you:
If you are NOT being consistent, it's because you are not fully connected to your joy.

That's because continuing to do something over and over and over with DELIGHT and ENTHUSIASM and FERVOR comes from being connected to your "why." Your purpose is to do more things that bring you joy. It's full circle, baby. 

When you are connected to what is most meaningful for you, you don't have to FORCE yourself to do it. It's FUN. When it isn't fun? You're not acting in what author Gay Hendricks calls your "Zone of Genius."

You know you're in your Zone of Genius when you are so driven that you don't have to force yourself to do anything. If you're not? You're probably living from some "have-tos" - things you feel obligated to do. TIME TO UNTETHER.

This episode also takes a deeper look at the joys of 'sprinkle stacking' — a method I use and teach to increase our "productivity" while simultaneously layering fun and passion into our daily lives . E

I've found ways to Sprinkle Stack throughout my life, and I do it with my own podcast! It's an invaluable tool. 

So stop poop stacking and start stacking sprinkles, my friends!!

What was the pivotal moment that led you down a journey of self-healing?

In today's episode, I dive into my own personal health and healing journey with Poornima Vamsi, who shares her own. Together, we unravel insights on the often-neglected impact of hormonal imbalances and energetics on women's health.

Poornima came to her own expertise in healing when two unrelated, but huge events rocked her world
 
1. Her hair started falling out in clumps
2. Her mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer (and she lived halfway across the world)

When "traditional" medicine gave no answers or hope, Poornima set out on a quest to heal herself and and mother.  (Spoiler alert: She did it!)

In this conversation, we discuss the power of listening to ourselves, exploring "untethered" healing modalities, and aligning with our body's natural rhythms through reflective practices such as journaling and breathwork. All of this as Poornima explains the role energetics and our hormones physically impact the body and our health.

The conversation unfurls the potential of holistic healing in nurturing not just the body, but the soul too. We go into the tough choices women face when balancing personal aspirations with familial obligations, and explore the cultural conditioning of women as natural caregivers and the cascading benefits of self-care on our families' health.


MEET POORNIMA VAMSI
I have struggled with Thyroid for 5 years, taking every single day medicine on empty stomach and then waiting for 30 mins to eat/drink something. I have also gone through post-partum depression, ankylosing spondylitis, plantar fasciitis - taken steroids to reduce pain and was frustrated living a life where I also weighed 90kgs/188 pounds.

I knew there had to be a way out. My turning point majorly was when my mum was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer overnight and was bed ridden. It is then that I researched, studied, certified and implemented my learnings to reverse my hormonal imbalances which allowed me to go off Thyroid medication, stopped taking steroids, reversed ankylosing spondylitis and plantar fasciitis and dropped a whopping 30kgs. It is mission that 'every woman deserves to live life medication free so that she can do more for herself and her loved ones'
