Whether you are 20 or 80, we all had a childhood. Some of what we learn when we are kids ends up influencing the way we think and behave. If you've found negative patterns and are ready to get to work, heal your inner child.
Have you noticed any repeating patterns in your life that just don’t seem to go away? Perhaps it’s a recurring relationship that you just can’t seem to explain. Most of us, if asked, would claim to love the people we live with: our spouse/partner, our kids, our roommate. We are 30+ days into this quarantine and many of us are finding that to some extent we've lost some of that loving feeling. It's natural to crave space. It's also natural to crave that space even from the people we love most. Take a minute to fall in love again with those who matter most to you. We are all in this together and we are all made of love.
Our internal environment (our thoughts) and our external environment (our surroundings) affect our stress levels. These are certainly stressful times. Our thoughts may be going in circles in what-if scenarios. Our surroundings are full of news reels, death counts and quarantine orders. All of this stress affects our immune system and compromises our ability to fight dis-ease. Give some love to your immune system and stay healthy!
We got way more time on our hands than we usually do. Combine that with raised levels of stress and anxiety, and it can be a recipe for disaster when it comes to our habits, specially drinking. If you find that your quarantine motto is "It's 5 o'clock somewhere", take a quick listen to this audio. Reduce the cravings to drink and reduce your stress at the same time.
When we are stressed and feel limited, our bad habits can surface and get a little more demanding. And it's safe to say, these are stressful and limiting times.
Have you started smoking again after having given it up? Maybe you considered yourself a social smoker but now free from almost all social smoking, are sneaking to the balcony to have a drag. Whatever the case, picking up an unhealthy happy was probably not part of your quarantine goals. This audio is designed to help you put down the smokes and breathe healthfully.
A full month into the COVID-19 pandemic and over 10 million of us (in the US) have lost our jobs. In between waiting for the stimulus check, wondering if we qualify for a small business loan, and figuring out which bills can be skipped this month, many of us are feeling the strain in our relationship with money and prosperity. It can be difficult to stay positive about income and bills when the bank account shows us a clear reality of where we stand. Take a listen and help yourself to take the edge off financial anxiety today.
We have given up so much these last 30+ days. Trips to visit family, hugs, toilet paper, our favorite restaurant. We still have a ton to be grateful and happy about. It could be the simplest things like getting to spend more time with our family, getting the chance to finally fix the squeaky window, learning patience, and more patience, and even more patience. Gratitude can help change the way we view our moments and put things into perspective.
Many people pick up coping mechanisms when stressed and man, oh, man, are these stressful times. Have you picked up more chips and cookies to cope with the stress and anxiety of 24/7 COVID-19 news, home schooling, and sharing your home with someone you love/dislike/tolerate/just met around the clock? Many of us have, take the edge off and listen to this audio as you prime your mind to put down the snacks. You got this!
