  • 118 Movement Made Easy: Simplifying Wellness and Unlocking Personal Growth

What up, Beasts? Welcome back to the show. Today I am hanging out with Paul Levitin. Paul is a podcaster, public speaker, and coach. His podcast “Change Made Easy” teaches anyone who’s felt stuck or frustrated how to change their habits, routines, and behaviors, in a way that feels easy and sticks forever.

In this episode, Paul shares his incredible journey of personal growth, from shifting away from a partying lifestyle to embracing health and wellness. We explore the powerful connection between physical health and mental well-being, and how incorporating daily movement—not just structured exercise—can lead to long-term success. Paul’s insights on making small, sustainable changes really resonated with me, especially his perspective on how even simple actions like walking more throughout the day can significantly impact our health.

Our conversation also touches on the mental side of personal development and how consistency plays a much bigger role than willpower in achieving your goals. I found myself inspired by Paul’s ability to lead by example and his holistic approach to helping others thrive. This episode is packed with meaningful insights on simplifying the path to a healthier, more balanced life. If you’re ready to rethink what success in health and wellness looks like, this conversation is one you won’t want to miss!

As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something you hear tugs on your heart-strings and/or I hope you laugh.

  • 117 Healing Through Creativity: Unlocking Growth, Resilience, and Joy

What up, Beasts? Welcome back to the show. Today I am hanging out with Karen DeLoach. Karen is an artist, art mentor, author, actor, and creativity specialist. She passionately teaches about the miraculous healing potential of art.

Stirring up the creative in others is her SUPERPOWER.

She has a BFA in painting and theater, MA in Ceramics and Film Certificate in Film Production.

In this episode, Karen and I explored the incredible ways creativity and art therapy can transform our lives. She shared her journey as an artist, teacher, and author, along with the story behind her "Art as Self Therapy Wellness through Creativity" program. Karen’s focus on creating safe, judgment-free spaces for learning and self-expression really resonated with me. One of the most powerful moments was her story about a young man who used art to navigate ADHD, depression, and even recover from a traumatic brain injury. Hearing about the transformative impact of art on his life was a beautiful reminder of creativity’s ability to build resilience and unlock potential.

We also reflected on our own creative experiences, from Karen’s work teaching filmmaking in Uganda to my own podcasting journey—from basic tools to finding a groove. Both of us agreed on the importance of embracing imperfection and practicing self-grace when trying new things. Whether it’s painting, knitting, or even singing in the shower, creativity is about finding joy in the process, not perfection. This conversation was a powerful reminder of how creativity can help us heal, grow, and connect with ourselves and others in meaningful ways.

As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something you hear tugs on your heart-strings and/or I hope you laugh.

  • 116 Reclaiming Joy: Mindfulness, Movement, and Self-Compassion

What up, Beasts? Welcome back to the show. Today I am hanging out with Lesley Evans. Lesley is International Speaker and Best-Selling Author of DeFUNK YourSELF.  She has developed a perfect blend of modern and magical therapies to empower women to give themselves permission to be limitless and unlock endless possibilities.

Lesley has thirty years of experience as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse Therapist. She is a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Soul Care Practitioner and Reiki Master. She brings new purpose and passion for raising awareness, gaining new perspectives and teaching others to Shine Their Light. She believes, like The Rising Phoenix, that everyone can rise from the ashes of their old life and build themselves stronger to shine their light into the world.

In this episode, I had the pleasure of chatting with Lesley about how mindfulness and self-compassion can transform the way we approach movement, food, and life. We talked about the importance of slowing down and staying present, and Lesley shared some incredible stories from her work as a psychiatric nurse and therapist, including how mindfulness helped one of her clients manage anxiety and embrace positivity. We both agreed that reframing movement as something we do for our mental and physical health—not just to burn calories—is a total game-changer. And honestly, the reminder to give ourselves grace and recognize our worthiness really hit home for me.

We also explored the freedom that comes with intuitive eating and letting go of rigid health metrics, like obsessively tracking calories or steps. Instead, we focused on the importance of listening to your body and fully enjoying the present moment—especially during meals. Lesley shared her personal experiences of moving away from restriction and embracing enjoyment, which completely shifted her mindset. This conversation was such a beautiful reminder to approach life with more intention, kindness, and joy. I hope you find it as inspiring as I did!

As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something you hear tugs on your heart-strings and/or I hope you laugh.

  • 115 Anchored in Growth: Navigating Life, Loss, and Self-Discovery

What up, Beasts? Welcome back to the show. Today I am hanging out with Jonna Rachele Garvin. Jonna is an ordained Baptist minister and a board-certified chaplain with The Association of Professional Chaplains.  She has experience as a healthcare chaplain, serving in both hospital and hospice settings, a therapist, and a pastoral counselor.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from Michigan State University, her Master of Science in Patient Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University, her Master of Divinity from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, and her PhD in Neumann University’s Pastoral Counseling program.  Jonna’s interests include spirituality, supporting individuals through bereavement, and finding meaningful ways to enhance personal and professional resilience through identifying inner resources and wisdom.

In this episode, I had the privilege of sitting down with Jonna to hear her deeply personal journey into chaplaincy. She shared how the loss of her aunt inspired her path and her passion for helping others navigate life’s toughest moments. We talked about the importance of trusting yourself and embracing growth at every stage of life. Together, we explored how generational perspectives shape our views on age, life transitions, and self-discovery. Jonna’s insights about anchor people and practices were so meaningful, reminding me how vital it is to have those grounding forces during life’s big shifts.

We also dove into the ever-present challenge of balancing work and personal life, especially in this always-connected world. Jonna and I reflected on the pressures of "hustle culture" and why prioritizing rest, creativity, and self-care is crucial. We laughed about the different ways we approach transitions in our twenties versus our forties—how we lean on external support when we’re younger and rely more on our inner wisdom as we grow. To wrap up, Jonna read Rumi’s The Guest House, a beautiful reminder to welcome every experience, even the hard ones, as part of our growth. It left me feeling inspired and reflective—I think it will do the same for you.

As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something you hear tugs on your heart-strings and/or I hope you laugh.

  • 114 Rewrite Your Story: Overcoming Barriers and Embracing Growth

What up, Beasts? Welcome back to the show. Today I am hanging out with Laura Ordile. Laura is a Mindset Mentor and Master Hypnotist, as well as a Professional Intuitive and Astrologer and is also certified in NLP and more. She uses that unique combination of skills to help you tap into your own success, opening up your life quickly, easily, and completely and a great side effect is that you get to hold onto your sanity and soul as you go! She knows that when you change your mind, you’ll change your life. And she does that with a mix of the practical and the woo in a way that is designed specifically for you! She lives in Montana with her family where she enjoys the sadly short, but amazingly beautiful summers and watches as much Sci Fi as possible to make it through the winters.

In this episode, we dive deep into the journey of personal growth, exploring how early life experiences shape our beliefs and behaviors. Laura shares how the subconscious mind often throws up barriers to keep us safe, which can sometimes feel irrational or limiting. Together, we talk about tools like hypnosis, free writing, and tapping into our dreams as ways to understand and release those old patterns. I loved hearing about Laura’s own path, especially her shift from the corporate world to her current work helping others, which has allowed her to embrace what she calls “the best of all worlds.”

Throughout our conversation, Laura and I discuss the power of self-help and personal responsibility, themes that resonate deeply with my own journey since launching my coaching practice. Laura emphasizes the importance of helping ourselves before we can truly help others, and I couldn’t agree more. She talks about how hypnosis can serve as a “door-opener,” helping people overcome deeply rooted fears and start making real changes in their lives. By the end, Laura encourages listeners to stay open to new opportunities and not to settle for what feels just “acceptable.” Our chat was a great reminder that personal development isn’t about reaching a fixed destination—it’s about seeing the adventure in every new choice and chapter.

As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something you hear tugs on your heart-strings and/or I hope you laugh.

  • 113 Unveiling Identities: From Roles to Real Self with Psilocybin & Compassion

What up, Beasts? Welcome back to the show. Today I am hanging out with Karin Calde. Karin is a state-licensed psilocybin facilitator with a PhD in clinical psychology, bringing nearly 20 years of experience working with individuals and couples. In addition to facilitating psilocybin therapy, she is a relationship and self-development coach, specializing in helping women and couples in midlife who want to find love, break old relationship patterns, and create more joyful, fulfilling connections with one another and with themselves. She is trained in Internal Family Systems and is the host of the podcast, Love Is Us: Exploring Relationships and How We Connect. She also adores her cat and sings in an 80s cover band.

In this episode, we dive into the intricate concepts of identity and self-discovery. Karin opens up about her journey from psychologist to coach, sharing insights into the ways our identities are often tied to roles that can shift over time. She emphasizes the importance of compassion, love, connection, and growth—values that have shaped her path as she now supports clients in understanding who they are beyond traditional roles. Particularly, she works with individuals facing transitions, like empty nesters who are redefining themselves after their primary roles as caregivers change.

We also explore her current work with psilocybin, including how it complements her coaching approach. Licensed in Oregon as a psilocybin facilitator, she reveals how this powerful compound is used to help individuals connect with themselves, address unresolved trauma, and foster personal growth. Drawing parallels to Internal Family Systems (IFS), she discusses how psilocybin can help unlock "protective" layers, providing a path for deep healing. Whether it’s with couples or individuals, her holistic approach to self-discovery and connection, with or without psychedelics, aims to help people align with their truest selves in a meaningful and transformative way.

  • 112 Redefining Wellness: Finding Balance and Nutritional Freedom

What up, Beasts? Welcome back to the show. Today I am hanging out with Dillan Foss. Dillan is a Licensed Athletic Trainer with a Masters Degree in Nutrition for Human Performance.

Currently living in sunny South Florida creating a family and the Limitless Theory brand. He loves the beach, sports, being outside, hanging with his son, learning about the human body and helping people reach physical, nutritional and financial freedom!

In this episode, I share my journey from obsessive tracking to embracing a more balanced, holistic approach to health and wellness. I open up about how tracking numbers on the scale and calorie counts once consumed me, leading to stress and burnout. Now, as a health coach, I focus on a comprehensive approach that includes movement, nutrition, sleep, and stress management. Dillan Foss, my guest and a sports medicine professional, supports this perspective, discussing the body’s interconnected systems and how they thrive when we view health beyond strict metrics. We discuss his concept of "nutritional freedom," encouraging choices that support overall well-being while allowing for enjoyment and flexibility in eating.

Our conversation also delves into the challenges of sustaining healthy habits, especially for new parents, and the importance of self-compassion during life’s transitions. Dillan shares insights on the societal pressures that new moms, in particular, face to "bounce back" after childbirth, and we discuss how unrealistic expectations can impact self-image. We both emphasize that health isn’t defined by a specific body type but by a sense of feeling good and truly living. We touch on balancing enjoyment with informed food choices, highlighting that indulgences don’t have to come with guilt. Dillan wraps up with advice on understanding the broader impact of personal decisions, encouraging listeners to make choices with compassion and mindfulness toward their bodies and minds.

  • 110 Healing Beyond Medicine: His Holistic Adventure from Cancer to Wellness

What up, Beasts? Welcome back to the show. Today I am hanging out with Georges Cordoba. He is a cancer survivor and holistic health advocate, who shares his powerful story of healing from advanced cancer through a journey of faith, meditation, and holistic practices. Georges explains how he transformed his life and health by focusing on emotional well-being, balanced pH levels, and mindful eating. Hearing him speak about the prevalence of chronic disease in the U.S.—where almost half of adults suffer from at least one chronic illness—was eye-opening. His story about leaving a high-level tech career to become a nutritionist, Reiki Master, and hypnotherapist underscores his deep commitment to helping others on their wellness journeys. His keynote message, “You Can Move Your Mountains,” truly resonated with me and reminded me of the power of faith and resilience.

Georges also shared practical, actionable wellness tips that left me inspired. We discussed the importance of slowing down during meals, addressing emotional health, and finding balance in daily life to reduce stress and inflammation. I was particularly moved by his emphasis on self-love, forgiveness, and rest, which he believes are as crucial as nutrition in the healing process. Georges highlighted how healing is so much more effective when we’re supported by a caring community. I’m excited to share his insights and his offer of a free e-book on pH balance and an alkaline food guide with our listeners. This conversation reminded me of the profound impact of prioritizing ourselves and our well-being every day.

  • 109 Healing from Narcissistic Abuse

What up, Beasts? Welcome back to the show. Today I am hanging out with Marcia Williams. In this episode, I share a heartfelt conversation with Marcia, where we open up about our experiences with narcissistic relationships and the complex journey of healing that follows. Marcia describes her own path of recognizing and addressing narcissistic abuse, and we discuss how personal growth can be unsettling to those who seek to control us. Reflecting on my own past relationship, I touch on the lasting effects it’s had, like moments of self-doubt and hesitation even in asking my current, supportive husband for simple help. Marcia’s journey of self-discovery after her marriage is both inspiring and relatable, reminding me how much courage it takes to step away and start healing.

We also dive into how narcissistic abuse impacts our mental and physical health, from the ways it can wear down self-esteem to the stress-related physical symptoms it can trigger. Marcia and I both agree on the importance of seeking professional help—especially someone knowledgeable about narcissistic abuse—because the recovery process can be complex and deeply personal. Finding the right therapist was transformative for both of us, and we discuss the value of self-advocacy in therapy. Wrapping up, we touch on how sharing our stories can empower others, offering hope and support for anyone on their own journey to healing.

Marcia Williams is a seasoned licensed therapist with over 21 years of experience, specializing in helping individuals recover from the traumatic effects of narcissistic abuse. With a master's degree in counseling and a professional license obtained in 2003, Marcia has dedicated her career to empowering both women and men to reclaim their lives from the grip of toxic relationships.

As the CEO of Hidden Flames LLC, Marcia offers a comprehensive range of therapeutic services, including individual, couples, and group therapy, as well as coaching. Her expertise extends to leading workshops and retreats designed to foster deep healing and personal growth. Drawing on her personal experience of a 30-year marriage to a narcissist and subsequent divorce, Marcia brings unparalleled empathy and insight into her work.

In addition to her private practice, Marcia is the founder of the Pathway to Peace Healing Program, a transformative initiative that has guided individuals toward healing. She is also the author of the book "Groomed: Life Married to a Narcissist and How I Overcame Narcissistic Abuse", where she shares her personal journey and strategies for recovery. Her upcoming podcast, "Self-ish", set to launch by the end of the year, will provide a platform for discussions on self-care, healing, and resilience.
