Non-governmental organisation, Corruption Watch says reports of education-related corruption represented 10% of the total number of reports the organisation received between the years, 2012 and 2021. In a report titled Sound the Alarm, the organisation says it found widespread allegations of corruption in the sector including 3 417 reports at primary and secondary school level, 183 at SETA level and 67 at technical, vocational, education and training colleges.
