Search and rescue operations are underway for a six-year-old boy from Dlamini in Soweto in Johannesburg. The City of Johannesburg's  Emergency Services resumed with the search earlier this morning when it was called off last night. The boy was reported missing yesterday afternoon by his friends after falling into manhole. For the latest with regards to the search and rescue operation, we are now joined on the line by the spokesperson of the City of Joburg's Emergency Services, Robert Mulaudzi.

Cape Town Traffic Services says they are continuing to receive reports of road obstructions caused by localised flooding, including on private properties. Traffic Service Spokesperson Kevin Jacobs earlier said the department is harnessing all available resources to mitigate risks caused by the heavy rain. This comes as the city's Disaster Risk Management Centre has warned members of the public to refrain from sharing unsubstantiated information about flooding incidents, as the Metro continues to be battered by heavy downpours. Motorists have been advised to avoid the N3 Route between Villiers and Warden in the  Free State as dozens of truck drivers have blockaded the road in protest against the employment of foreign nationals. The N3 Toll Concession says it was informed about the blockade at around 6am on this morning. Earlier this year, the All Truck Drivers Forum and Allied SA threatened a national shutdown citing empty promises made by the government regarding the employment of foreign national drivers. Police in the Eastern Cape have confirmed that they are offering a two-hundred thousand rand reward for information that could lead to the arrest of those behind the murder of Namhla Mtwa. The 35 year old Mtwa was shot and killed at her aunt's driveway in Mthatha in April. Her killing sparked outrage following the sharing of videos which depicted abuse she suffered allegedly at the hands of her boyfriend. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to Brigadier Thembinkosi Kinana.

Taps are fast running dry in the both the Nelson Mandela Bay metro and the Kouga municipality in the Eastern Cape This after the maintenance team of the municipality discovered that water could no longer be extracted from the Impofu dam due to the low water levels. The Democratic Alliance in the Gauteng Province has condemned the suspension of Dr Tim De Maayer who wrote an open letter last month, exposing the terrible conditions of patients at the Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital here in Johannesburg. The party has called for the reinstatement of Dr de Maayer and the immediate suspension of the hospital's CEO Dr Nozuko Mkabayi, who the DA claims has spent many days working from home instead of fixing the crisis at the institution. The KwaZulu-Natal department of Health has confirmed that DNA tests have been conducted after a 17-year-old mother whose own baby died at birth, was sent home with the incorrect baby. The mother, Phumzile says she only discovered this when the hospital informed her that her child, Andiswa, had in fact died in the nursery at the Prince Mshiyeni Hospital and hospital staff had mistakenly given her someone's living child. Organised crime detectives in Cape Town are probing the death of four men who were shot by unknown gunmen at the Madiba Supermarket in Khayelitsha in Cape Town. According to witnesses, the gunmen stormed into the establishment last night and demanded that customers leave, before they opened fire.
