Hundeds of Tshwane residents affiliated with Operation Dudala splinter group, Tshwane Bahlali Dudula, are currently picketing outside the Lion Match factory in Rosslyn in Tshwane. The group has accused the company of employing more foreign workers than locals. Tshwane Bahlali Dudula has also accused Lion Match management of renaging on an earlier agreement to employ 120 general workers from nearby areas in order to address the inconsistant foreigner to local ratio at the company. Two of the country's largest taxi associations are lobbying trade union COSATU and other civic groups to join in what they have called a necessary national shutdown over recent fuel price hikes. The National Taxi Alliance and SANTACO say the increases have made the cost of living unaffordable and are crippling the public transportation business. Motorists have been up in arms since last week when the price of 93 octane petrol increased by two-rand-43 cents a litre and 95 octane petrol went up by two-rand-33 a litre, among other increases. The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa is currently picketing outside the offices of airliner, Comair Limited in Rhodesfield in Kempton Park. Proceedings in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial have been postponed to Monday after state witness, sergeant Thabo Mosia fell ill during his testimony. Earlier, Judge Tshifiwa Maumela had to warned defence counsel for accused one to four, advocate Malesela Teffo to be mindful of his language in court. In a heated exchange of words, advocate Teffo wanted the court to stop the cross-examination of a state witness, sergeant  Mosia and commence with a trial within a trial. Singer Kelly Khumalo's attorney has accused defence lawyer Malesela Teffo of intimidation and character assassination of her client. Presidential Spokesperson Vincent Magwenya has indicated on social media that President Cyril Ramaphosa will communicate in due course on allegations made against him by former State Security Agency and Correctional Services Director General Arthur Fraser. Fraser opened criminal charges against Ramaphosa at the Rosebank Police Station in Johannesburg yesterday.
