White: Patriarchs and Prophets, Prophets and Kings, The Desire of Ages, Acts of the Apostles and The Great Controversy. As I said, not a short journey but one we'll embark upon together as the story of God's love, God's people and God's ultimately plan unfolds.

The ultimate goal? To get you to read them along with me and better understand God's plan for your life.

"Why was sin permitted?" is one of the most asked questions by people that perhaps don't necessarily understand the character of God. Love is the reason why sin was permitted to spread. God has never wanted or wants forced worship or obedience. He wants obedience out of love and will, not out being afraid or feeling forced. Let's talk!

In the words of the wise king Solomon: "Vanity of vanities. All is vanity". Strange words coming from a wise and wealthy man. The man who had it all and yet felt he had nothing but vanities. Isn't this what we see today? People pursuing the latest and greatest fashion trends and almost immune to the pains of this world? 

Oh if God would only open our eyes and give us a flesh heart!

Throughout the Gospel Books, in Matthew, Mark and Luke we find Jesus speaking about a sin that cannot be forgiven. Knowing that God is a merciful and forgiving God, it is almost impossible to find harmony between Jesus saying that there's a sin that cannot be forgiven and the reading that God is all merciful and forgiving. What's going on here?

Reading and understanding the Law is good; letting the Law set in our hearts and being transformed by it is much better. For a lot of "christians", and I'm sorry but I have to use the quotation marks, being a christian is about checking boxes: going to church, reading the Bible, singing in the choir, and maybe the occasional $10 donation... but, is this it? It is not. God, Jesus is very clear when it comes to what He expect from us as His followers and the character and spirit He'll be looking for. The short version? LOVE. 

Without love, we're nothing. We can cite the Bible from Genesis to Revelations but if we don't have love for our fellow brothers and sisters in this planet, we have nothing. Doing is always better than knowing.

My heart broke that day and pain took over as I sat down to see 'Sound of Freedom'. After the movie finished, I walked home speechless and I still find myself out of words even as I write this podcast description. 'Sound of Freedom' is a movie I recommend everyone to see as it depicts a horrible, sad reality that is sometimes invisible to many of us; awareness is important. Human trafficking,  child exploitation and sexual abuse... these things still happen today and the U.S happens to be one of the primary customers for this kind of horror. What's worse, the movie was shelved for 5 years before someone decided to make it available to the public. 

Seems like it's more important to show the world the adventures of the Avengers or the many hundreds of thousands of movies that add absolute zero value to society and us as individuals. I can't but wonder... what is going on?

What we spend our time on, what we see, read, hear and what we surround ourselves with will, in time (if not already) influence the way we look at and tackle life. You can have everything anyone ever wanted, and still find yourself feeling miserable or ungrateful about what you have accomplished. What are your goals? What do you value? What are your priorities? 

God is love, God is merciful and God is the ONLY one who can make a permanent change in the human heart, in the human character. Will you let him?

Have you ever heard the phrase: "I don't believe that. It is just too good to be true"...? Decades and centuries of lying and deceiving one another has caused us humans to suffer trusting issues. When something is just too good, we tend to be heavily skeptical about it. Many of us as christians are struggling because this same mentality is being applied to our relationship with God. An Almighty, all-loving, merciful, omnipotent, omniscient God who forgives the terrible things I did and is willing to move forward with me as I nothing ever happened? That's just too good to be true, no? Well, when it comes to God and us, the thing is that it is indeed too good, and it also happens to be true.
