Scott Mensi, institutional portfolio manager, joins us today to break down the opportunities in high-income markets, from floating rate debt to U.S. high yield, amidst surging inflation in Canada, the U.S., and globally. The Bank of Canada has raised their key interest rate by fifty basis points, to one per cent. South of the border, treasury yields have hit three-year highs on the backs of their highest inflation print since 1981, and further supply chain woes as China enters another lockdown. With host Pamela Ritchie, Scott shares that credit markets are healthy because of what has happened over the past two years, and that credit markets are signalling that credit risk is not the main story.
