Moscow is not going to be fooled into any settlement that doesn’t bring real security and deal with the original goals of the SMO. Unable to admit that they have been roundly defeated, the demented warmongers in the collective west are still looking for a way to ‘pause’ or ‘freeze’ the war. In this way they hope either to continue harassing Russia’s southeastern border, or to relaunch the war at a future date, or both.
