The IHRA 'working definition' was NOT designed to be a tool to fight racism. Just the reverse. It is a tool to make ILLEGAL the criticism of Israeli racism: Israeli apartheid, occupation, ethnic cleansing, torture, and mass-murder amounting to genocide. All of which is carried on with full backing of US and Britiain, and our own Labour government.

These are the most dreadful and heinous international crimes, in which Wes streeting himself is complicit. The definition is therefore a corrupt tool of political repression behind which he can hide HIS OWN, and the LABOUR GOVERNMENT's complicity in genocide.

1.4 million NHS workers will be subject to its political censorship and repression. The target will be all pro-Palestinian British workers (60-70% of British workers are in sympathy with Palestine, despite the years of incessantly hostile media), and particularly Palestinians, Arabs and muslims.

Therefore the IHRA definition, is in fact a RACIST tool of repression, which is already being used to attack pro-Palestine activists, and facilitate the Zionist attacks on progressive, pro-Palestine, anti-genocide British workers.

Venezuela's Acting President Delcy Rodríguez gave a master class on US sanctions policy in 2024

She connected it directly to Palestine: "The genocide against Palestine is an extension of the same policy—the destruction of humanity, exterminating peoples so that speculative capital survives."

What she said:

🔹 The US controls SWIFT, the international financial messaging system. Every global transaction flows through it. One button excludes any country.

🔹The hegemon uses unilateral coercive measures, so-called 'sanctions', as a means of extortion against countries that do not obey its instructions.

🔹26,000+ unilateral sanctions exist worldwide. 31 countries sanctioned—representing 28% of world population and 72% of Earth's territory.

🔹96% of sanctions are concentrated on 10 countries. Mostly oil and energy producers essential for the development of humanity.

🔹Venezuela lost access to 77% of its international correspondent banks "in one second"

🔹99% drop in national income. $232 billion in lost oil production. $700 billion total economic damage—comparable to WWII bombing of Germany and France.

🔹US State Department stated, 2018: "Our sanctions forced Venezuela to default... We are seeing total collapse. Our policy works."

🔹Citgo seized. $22 billion in assets frozen. Venezuelan gold stolen by Bank of England "because we don't know who the government is"

🔹The US-appointed "president" of Venezuela's Central Bank lives in Miami and runs a hamburger business. This is who they claimed should control Venezuela's gold reserves.

"International law does not govern. The only thing that governs is barbarism."

Yesterday I spoke with Garland Nixon about the USA's regime-change war against Venezuela. What has really been achieved besides the final shredding of the last vestiges of legitimacy for the UN system and international law?

It is true that President Maduro has been kidnapped, but it is NOT true that Venezuela has fallen. The USA is not able to instal a new government or take over the running of Venezuela’s oil industry. Trump’s various claims, and the stories circulating in western mainstream and social media, are overwhelmingly based in fiction.

Meanwhile, what does it say about the underlying strength of the imperialist system generally and US imperialism in particular that it should resort to such a brazen and openly illegitimate method of trying to reassert its global dominance?

For all his bravado and bullyboy tactics, President Trump is presiding not over the rejuvenation of US economic and military might, but over its further degeneration and disintegration.

And if the the imperialists are driving us ever deeper into all-out global war, and are incapable of changing course, what are the lessons we must learn and the tasks that confront workers here in the imperialist heartlands?

It suits western imperialism that the origins and ideological underpinnings of the so-called ‘Houthi’ movement should remain unknown.

The Yemeni ‘Houthi’ Ansar Allah movement shot to prominence in late 2023 when, following the beginning of the US-Israeli genocide of the Palestinians of Gaza, the movement’s forces announced that they were shutting down access to the Red Sea through the Bab-el-Mandeb strait for all Israeli-linked shipping – a threat that they quickly proved they were totally capable of enforcing.

Despite this sudden worldwide prominence, the ‘Houthi’ movement’s origins and ideological underpinnings remain largely unknown and under-studied – primarily because this suits the interests of western imperialism, which fears the movement becoming an example for other oppressed nations to follow.

Based on a presentation delivered at Saklatvala Hall in London in June 2025, this in-depth article attempts to tear through the imperialist lies and explain the real origins of Yemen’s dominant national-liberation movement.
