The government is using special measures to push local authorities into selling off countless public buildings and other assets.

There was outrage in Croydon when the sell-off of Broad Green library led to its books being dumped on the ground outside by contractors sent to ‘clean up’ the property for its new owners. The huge and systematic transfer of historic and community assets into private hands is permanently depriving workers of a wide range of amenities while providing only short-lived funding for the councils concerned. How will they plug deliberately-engineered budget shortfalls when the crown jewels have all been sold? And who will be answerable to the public whose assets have been flogged off in this national fire sale?

The Imperialist state is in deep crisis - and has been since October 7th 2023. The poor and proletarian masses of the world stand with palestine. The rich and exploiting classes stand with Israel.

The strength and perseverance of the a palestine solidarity movement is an expression of that crisis of imperialism. The repression of this movement is the states only answer to the anger and anti Imperialist sentiment of the mass of British workers.

The Terrorism act 2000 is being used exactly as it was intended: to repress anti imperialist British workers. The TA came from the PTA, a racist piece of legislation used by the British state to criminalise and crush the Irish national liberation struggle. More than 5,000 Predominantly Irish workers were arrested under the PTA.

The Soas 2 and RCG’s comrade Sarah were arrested in London and Brighton for speaking in solidarity with palestine under the provisions of the Terrorism act 2000. They will be appearing at the old bailey on Monday September 14th at 9am - 5pm and it is vital that we show them solidarity. Ideally come early.

Socialism they were arrested for 1. Correctly stating that under international law the Palestinian people have the right to fight for their liberation, they specifically have the right to bear arms and wage armed struggle (this is not a right that is confined to members of the NRA in the USA!) 2. For changing the word “intifada” - a term meaning uprising or revolution. A term that lite politicians have endless and meaningless debates about, but remains entirely legal and an action that remains the right of any people languishing under oppressive tyranny, from the USA, to Britain, and most definitely to Gaza and the west bank.

Why is it that Africa continues to suffer from such abject poverty when it is home to such enormous riches?

France’s continuing prosperity and ability to maintain itself as a ‘leading’ country in the world is reliant on the relentless plunder of its former colonies – and it has set up a complex web of financial, political and military mechanisms to ensure the steady flow of loot from west and central African lands into Parisian coffers. The emergence of a sovereign Sahel has seriously undermined this arrangement, and France’s imperialist economy is suffering badly as a result. Meanwhile, the desperate attempts to recover this lost paradise are receiving considerable help from France’s imperialist allies. In March, 800 French military personnel arrived in the port of Mombasa aboard three warships. They have been gifted a permanent base there by the Nato-allied regime in Nairobi, meaning that Kenya now has three imperialist occupation forces on its territory.

He discusses his Land Mark court case and employment tribunal appeal victory that vindicates his anti-zionist position as decent and respectable. As a result Bristol university will have to compensate him for their zionist-sponsored persecution of him over a period of 6 years.

Moreover every British worker will breathe easier, knowing that their right to criticise Israeli Genocide has this judicial legal precedent - which will be supplemented and augmented by the Judicial review against the IHRA, if successful.

David talks about the integration of Zionism and imperialism and the growing interference of Zionist imperialism within the political frameworks of states across the globe.

It is entirely reasonable to set ourselves the goal of eradicating Zionism. As we wish to eradicate all forms of racism, he says. Moreover we must defend our right not only to free speech, but the freedom of action to make a real change in economic affairs, for a more equitable and just economic order - for socialism.

Last, we must never forget that we must build the axis of resistance in Britain. And that it will be the axis of resistance in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen and Iran that will liberate the Middle East - not any benevolent outside power.

How a profit-driven economy destroys communities.

We should not look at what happened on Townsend Lane and think it was simply an unfortunate incident, because it wasn’t. It is the natural conclusion of decades of profit extraction. The industry disappeared, the jobs disappeared with it, investment followed and now the buildings themselves are beginning to crumble.

Joti Brar, Chair of the CPGB-ML speaks at the founding conference of the British Chapter of the Antifascist International, on the session focusing on Imperialism and War.

Joti draws attention to the heightened war drive of the imperialists that is pushing us towards World War 3.

This is not a policy choice - it is a result of the economic crisis of overproduction of global finance capitalism. This is a systemic crisis from which the ruling capitalist class has no way out - and no answer but war, death and destruction. They are prepared to sacrifice hundreds of millions of workers to keep their grip of financial slavery upon the world. They are the greatest threat to humanity that we face.

That is why there is “no reverse gear” on the part of the British and American NATO warmongers, whether in Latin America, Venezuela and Cuba, their support of fascism in Ukraine and the drive toward deepening the conflict with Russia, in the Western, Central and Eat African states, in Congo and Sudan, in Palestine and the Middle East, or in Taiwan and Korea and their drive toward conflict with China.

We are right to support the Axis of resistance. We are right to call to “Globalise the Intifada” against Zionism, Banderite Fascism, neoliberal stooge regimes and Imperialism.

But we must recognise that what is lacking most is the fight on the home front. There Labour Party, a party of imperialism, has tired the working class in servitude and polices the “official” anti war movement, the “official” palestine solidarity movement and the “official” anti austerity movement and trade union movements. In this way workers are kept powerless and imperialism is left free to continue perpetrating its wars and genocides across the globe - to the detriment of British workers also, who are being prepared to be the foot soldiers of our ruling class enemies, to preserve and entrench our own wage-slavery.

We must build the Antifascist International to step into the breach: to teach the British Working class once more to appreciate and use its power in its own interests and those of the workers of all countries.

Talk of renationalising the steel industry doesn’t reflect a meaningful change in ideological, political or societal outlook; it is a ruse to hide increasingly intense war preparations.

Our demand must be: complete nationalisation without compensation of every part of the British steel industry, massive reinvestment in modern production facilities and training, and a plan for production that will enable the industry to meet all the needs of the population.

Ian Donovan of the consistent democrats speaks at the founding conference of the Antifascist International.

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) is an international organisation essentially consisting of Israel and its Allies. Its core function has been to propagate the IHRA working definition of antisemitism throughout the NATO and 5-eyes countries.

While purporting to “fight racism”, so thatva holocaust (Exclusively defined as an act agains the Jews) could never again happen, really it is an amalgam, that mixes two entirely different things - criticism of Israel, and antisemitism - and pretends they are the same thing.

Fully seven of the 11 examples of antisemitism are really designed to indemnify Israel of criticism for its ethnic cleansing, apartheid, occupation and genocide.

It is a historical fact that at least some Zionists (particularly the revisionist Zionists, led by Jabotinsky and his successors) collaborated extensively with the Nazis, as well as the “allied” imperial powers. Indeed they were also at times to go to war with their principal sponsor (Britain) to achieve their Israeli state based upon its founding genocide - the Nakba of 1948.

Moreover, if Israel did NOT behave like the Nazis, it would not be necessary to state in the definition that one must in no account compare the two!

In total, it can be seen that the IHRA wda is a tool to repress free speech, to indemnify Israel and the imperialist powers (USA, Britain) of their genocide, and therefore we must oppose it fully and support the legal campaign to have it thrown out of public life. As the economic crisis of capitalism continues its inevitable trajectory, efforts to divide the working class are intensifying. But poor workers are not to blame for poverty.

The reactionary deportation rally held on County Road on 13 June was presented by its organisers as a ‘grassroots’ movement speaking on behalf of ordinary working people of Walton. In reality, it was another attempt to redirect working-class anger away from capitalism and towards other workers.
