Labour is a party of the warmongers, he says. He gives his opinion that it used to be a party where there were peace activists and socialists, but not any more. Even the so called “Socialist campaign group” of Labour Party MPs are rabid supporters of war with Ukraine.

John McDonnell is on record calling for more arms to Ukraine, and stating that arming the fascist Zelensky regime is “the path to peace”! [what difference, then between the “left” labourites and the most rabid neoconservatives like trump, biden, clinton and blair?]

Chris gives his opinion that “austerity is a choice”, and recited the modern monetary theory that Britain had a sovereign currency so can simply print as much money as is needed to give people whatever they want.

[MMT says essentially that: Money is not real. The government issues bonds. This is welfare for the rich. They put their money there as a cast iron savings guarantee.

…but why does capitalism need poverty of the masses? What happens to the bond value if money is printed and circulated without any relation to actual goods produced? What is the relationship between the “first” and “third” world nations? Where does value of a commodity arise? What is wealth? Can one eat money? all of these are questions that MMT does not address, but Marx’s capital does, we note]

Chris ends by noting that speakers have drawn attention to the repressive nature of the [capitalist] state. Chris says that what we want, however, is to take control of the levers of the state, make the laws and use it as a force for good.

[This implies that the capitalist class will surrender their dictatorship at the ballot box. Again, this is not the conception of Marx or Lenin, who realise that the capitalist “democracy” is a dictatorship, that rests upon force in the last analysis, with a good deal of misinformation, propaganda and lies thrown in, as well as on the wealth of the caitalist class. Marx and Engels and Lenin contend that the bourgeois state must be smashed, as it will not answer to the needs of the workers. In its place the workers will have to build a new state. A state of the armed and organised working class themselves. The accomplishment of this task is the historic mission of the working class, and the purpose of the working class revolution. We invite all our comrades to think about this fundamental socialist teaching.

The British ruling class and its puppet media are ramping up the nation’s war hysteria by fabricating fairy tales about Russian ‘aggression’ in ‘British’ waters.

Carefully-curated images of the Royal Navy’s boarding and hijacking of the Smyrtos were beamed around the world and filled the British media. Such provocations, combined with endless nonsensical headlines about Russian ships ‘aggressively’ sailing in our waters, are designed to prime the British public into accepting both the imperialist war drive and the deepening of austerity that accompanies it. Until we say no to war – both with our voices and by withdrawing our labour – the war drums will keep beating.

Dr Ranjeet Brar, General secretary of the CPGB-ML and a long time anti-zionist, anti-racist and anti-fascist and anti-imperialist activist speaks to the founding conference of the Antifascist international.

He quotes the revolutionary hero Nikolai Ostrovsky:

“Man’s dearest possession is life. It is given to him but once, and he must live it so as to feel no torturing regrets for wasted years, never know the burning shame of a mean and petty past; so live, that dying he might say: all my life, all my strength were given to the finest cause in all the world — the fight for the liberation of mankind.”

And Paul Robeson: “Every artist, every scientist, every writer must decide now where he stands. He has no alternative. There is no standing above the conflict on Olympian heights. There are no impartial observers. The battle front is everywhere. There is no sheltered rear.

“The artist must take sides. He must elect to fight for freedom or for slavery. I have made my choice. I had no alternative.”

We must all take note of the increasing repression and oppose it.

At the launch of the Antifascist International on Saturday the 5th of September in London, Dr Massoud Shadjareh of the IHRC spoke at the session on “Political freedom under attack”

He highlighted the work of the IHRC, speaking up for the rights of British citizens to speak freely in support of Palestine.

Which CONCLUDED on the IHRA wda:

“97. The “working definition” of antisemitism by the International Holocaust Remembrance Association [IHRA] is incompatible with international standards on freedom of expression. States should rescind their adoption and application of it and refrain from promoting it.”

“The Secretary-General has the honour to transmit to the General Assembly the report of the Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression, Irene Khan, submitted in accordance with Human Rights Council resolution 43/4.”

The world has rejected the IHRA wda as an attack on freedom of speech, as political censorship and repression that SUPPORTS THE GENOCIDE IN GAZA.

For decades, successive governments have implemented measures aimed at undermining public health provision and turning the nation’s health budget into a funding stream for private corporations.

The crisis in healthcare provision is neither inevitable nor irreversible. We can and we must take action to defend what is left of the NHS, renationalise what has been privatised and rebuild the health service we need, deserve and pay for.

Confidential information held by the NHS, the police etc will be permanently available to US authorities (and their partners and proxies) if Palantir remains involved in managing British state databases.

We need to raise public awareness about what is happening with our private data, and keep up the pressure until people understand what is at stake. Health workers in the NHS need to organise themselves to refuse using any system that is part of Palantir’s ‘Foundry’, and to inform their patients about what is being planned with their information.

Comrade Dan O’Brien of the CPGB-ML who visited Venezuela in November 2025, as the US was assembling its Armada off her Northern Caribbean coastline, and attacking small boats, murdering her sailors and fishermen and brazenly spreading the propaganda that the PSUV and the Bolivarian resolution were not socialists, bringing peace, food, housing, development and liberation - but “Narco traffickers”.

As we know that led to the kidnap of comrade President Nicolas Maduro, and First Combatant Celia Flores, along with the widespread bombing of Venezuela, and the murder of over 100 Venezuelan and Cuban security and military personnel. We lament the loss of our sisters and brothers, defenders of Humanity and the Bolivarian Revolution.

We demand the release of Nicolas Maduro and Celia Flores, their return and restoration to their rightful offices! This is an attack on the sovereignty not only of Venezuela, but of EVERY nation! This is the reality: Imperialism seeks DOMINATION - not democracy.

But despite the gun held to their heads, the Venezuelan people stand firm and fight on, to preserve and retain their communes, and the gains of their revolution, while Trump and the US IMPERIALISTS tighten their dictatorial stranglehold over the whole of the Americas - as they escalate their bloody campaigns of repression, violence and genocide in Palestine, across the Middle East, with their illegal aggressive and ongoing war on Iran and as they tighten the oppressive exploitative grip on their wage slaves all over the world.
