This is the one where Rudy & Andrea talk about advanced oxidation process. AOP involves the generation of hydroxyl radicals in sufficient quantity to sanitize water. As a result of the process, we get the hydroxyl radical (•OH) which is the neutral form of OH⁻. We say ‘Advanced’ because the oxidation reactions are significantly faster than they would naturally occur otherwise. Rudy & Andrea discuss the four primary methods of producing •OH including one that is growing in popularity in the swimming pool industry today.
