UX and AI | UX and AI Design Podcast

There’s no such thing as the perfect prompt. In this episode, I share how building an export-to-PDF feature taught me that prompting is about iteration, human checkpoints, and guiding the AI step by step. Think of it as a framework: set the stage, guide the agent, then hand off control over time.

Agentic UX is here—where AI doesn’t just assist, it acts. But with greater autonomy comes a bigger challenge: trust. In this episode, I explore how designers can balance autonomy and control, why trust is becoming the new usability, and the design principles that make AI feel like a collaborator—not a risk.

Designing for Failure: When AI Gets It Wrong
AI might be impressive—but it’s not always right. And when it fails, your UX design can make or break user trust. In this episode, Kate dives into one of the most overlooked aspects of designing with AI: what happens when the system makes a mistake.

From fallback states and recovery paths to confidence indicators and transparency, you’ll learn practical strategies for turning AI errors into opportunities to build trust—not break it. Whether you're designing chatbots, generative tools, or recommendation engines, this episode gives you a UX-first lens on human-AI collaboration, especially when things go wrong.

• Why AI errors require intentional UX
• How to design graceful fallback states and undo flows
• Ways to signal uncertainty and build trust
• Real-world product examples and design tips

🎙️ Tune in, and start designing for the messy, human side of AI.

As a user, I'm in flux with AI. It's about being part of an interactive process where both the user's needs and the AI's outputs are in a constant state of adjustment and learning from each other. There is a state of continuous movement in how a person interacts and engages with AI.
