Amnesty International is accusing Chinese authorities of creating a "dystopian hellscape" - over the repression of Uyghur Muslims in north-western province of Xinjiang. The group says it amounts to crimes against humanity. In a new 160 page report, thought the be the biggest collation of testimonies so far, more than 50 Uyghur muslims have detailed their accounts of being detained in internment camps. The report says the detainees were subject to torture including beatings, electric shocks and exposed to extreme cold. Amnesty NZ's executive director Meg de Ronde speaks to Worldwatch's Perlina Lau.
