Folks, if you missed church tonight, you just flat missed it! Our hearts were stirred as we shared testimony after testimony of God's Goodness, Mercy, and Grace. Stories were shared of His Unseen Hand of protection and healing. It culminated with a filled altar of God's people just telling God how much we love Him!

Sunday Morning, August 11th, 2019 - What Kind of Soil Are You? - Pastor Jared Shumate

Have you ever planted a garden? Maybe you have a "green thumb" and everything you've ever planted becomes a beautiful flower or a produce bearing plant. Or maybe you can't even get weeds to grow and even your cactus died. But, if you ask any good farmer they will likely tell you that success depends a lot on your soil. It must be prepared properly and ready to receive the seed.

In the book of Luke we see Jesus teaching a parable using different types of soil as the examples. We see someone sowing seeds, trying to get them to grow. But the seeds' success depends on the type of soil they were planted in.

Jesus tells us outright that the seed is the Word of God. That means the soil is the type of heart we receive the Word of God with. Maybe you think you're good soil, but in reality there is unconfessed sin holding you back. Maybe you know of others who are so hardhearted that they don't want to hear anything about God.

Examine your heart today and consider this question: What Kind of Soil Are You?

Leaven is an interesting little substance. It's so small and almost insignificant. And yet, just a small amount of it will affect the whole limp of dough. It's grows and grows until it consumes. The bakers among you know it's power.

The same parable applies to our life. A small, unknown,tiny thing can affect your whole heart and life. But it's not always a bad thing. The Gospel can leaven your life. It starts small and grows and grows until it completely consumes you.

But, if we're honest, all of us do not fall into that category. Instead, it's the leaven of sin that affects us. Today we ask you to examine your heart and your life. Is there something small, almost insignificant, maybe unknown to everyone else around you affecting your life? Maybe you rationalize it as "just a small sin." But it will grow and fester and control your life!

Sunday Morning, July 28th, 2019 - The Power of a Touch - Bro. Matt Davis

Have you ever been so afflicted by something that you have literally tried everything for relief or resolution? You've tried every old wives' tale, every essential oil, every medication, both over the counter and prescription, but you're still carrying the burden. Maybe it wasn't necessarily an illness.Maybe your affliction was marital, financial, spiritual, or personal. But nevertheless, you tried everything, and you were desperate.

This morning we took a look at a woman who was in this exact situation. She had what the Bible calls an issue of blood. She tried EVERYTHING and not only was not healed, but in fact she got WORSE! How disheartening and discouraging. In her final act of desperation she literally throws herself at the feet of Jesus, just hoping to get the slightest touch of the hem of His garment.

Are you facing the same situation? Are you desperate for resolution? Have you considered throwing yourself at the feet of the Master? There's power in His touch.
