At quarterback, what does the snap split between Blaze Berlowitz and Jared Curtis (and their stat lines) look like?

Sedrick Alexander, MK Young and Evan Hampton should share carries on opening night.

A large number of receivers should play. Will Cole Adams be one of them? And who's a potential sleeper or two in the group?

Vanderbilt will replace tight end Eli Stowers with as many as six players who could see action at tight end vs. Austin Peay.

The offensive line could play as many as 10 guys--we'll tell you who they are.

We sort through about a dozen defensive linemen (maybe more) who could see snaps in the opener.

Vanderbilt's linebacking corps is led by veterans Bryan Longwell, Nick Rinaldi and Bryce Cowan, but four other guys could also play.

The five corners who stand out, and a sixth and seventh who stand out as having a shot for different reasons.

About that narrative that said "It was always going to be Jared Curtis's job."

Throw out emotion and use common sense: A football coach's job is to win games and the best way to do that is use players best equipped for the job.

Curtis's talent isn't lost on the coaching staff.

The decision is for the Austin Peay game only. Who knows what's next?

There are drawbacks to starting Curtis right now.

There are ramifications for the locker room and team culture for not picking the best guy for the job.

Fans are entitled to their own opinions but there's no reason to trash Berlowitz. He earned the job.
