Marco Rubio is warning that those who are supportive of President Trump could be next.--While such actions may be unprecedented in America, they are not unprecedented in the world. We observe the escalating crime and violence, and morals are in a freefall. The breaking news alerts are going off- another shooting, another country at war, a government run amok.--As believers, we know our only hope is Jesus. We receive great comfort and encouragement from the Word of God amidst these troublesome times. God's Word is a lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path. God's Word is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. It is God's Word that tells us what is right, what is not right, how to get right and how to stay right.--But imagine what it would be like to not have a copy of the Scriptures- not to have available God's Word, no pages to turn to in times of distress, and no verses to look at to soothe a hurting soul. Further imagine at the same time that the church to which you belong has no copies of the Scriptures, and your pastor has to rely upon his own knowledge of what he has heard preached. You say impossible---We are so numb to what's happening around the world. While we are still a land of plenty and we've got copies of the Scriptures all around us, there are many people around the world longing to have their own copy of the Scriptures. Just think how many different copies of the Bible are in your personal library let alone in your own home. Would you be willing to share from your plenty with those who have none- That's the mission of the ministry we're speaking with today.

Here's your weekly selection of highlights from the Crosstalk news desk as presented by Jim-----The U.S. Senate is likely to delay a vote on the so-called Respect for Marriage Act until September.----Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin appears to be -back-peddling- on his apparent support for the Respect for Marriage Act.----85 national and state organizations have signed a letter written by the Alliance Defending Freedom sent to U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell denouncing the ironically named Respect for Marriage Act -HR8404- urging him and his U.S. Senate colleagues to reject it.----Senator Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona announced that she was on board with the tax increases and increased spending contained in the falsely named Inflation Reduction Act.----Several state coal groups have blasted Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia for sponsoring a bill that will severely threaten the industry.----After 5 years of litigation and a unanimous U.S. Supreme Court ruling, the Christian flag flew at the Boston City Hall Plaza public forum flag pole. ----The Biden administration declared the current breakout of Monkeypox a public health emergency. ----Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins issued an emergency declaration this morning due to the Monkeypox outbreak as the number of cases topped 200.----Almost 100- of Monkeypox cases have occurred in men, and according to the WHO, at least 95- of those have occurred due to homosexual activity.----President Biden announced that Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed in a U.S. drone strike in Kabul.

From Kindergarten on there's a push taking place to introduce children to the idea of denying science by questioning their biological sex. This is fanning the flames of gender dysphoria and creating an increase in the number of young people claiming to be transgender.--In the past we've dealt with the threat from the Biden administration to withhold school lunch funding from schools that don't allow biological boys who are gender confused from participating on girls sports teams and vice-versa. This also impacts the use of restrooms, locker rooms, overnight field trips and more.--In addition, the Biden administration's Department of Health and Human Services is attempting to alter Section 1557 and redefine sex discrimination so broadly that it's threatening the ability of doctors to practice medicine according to solid medical evidences and their own principles of faith.--Helping bring clarity to this issue, Crosstalk welcomed Dr. Jeffrey Barrows. Extreme deception is taking place in our world today through areas such as news, entertainment and even religion. The apostle Paul warned Timothy about this -2 Timothy 3-13- where he talks about evil men and seducers who go about deceiving and being deceived. John also gave a warning in his second epistle, warning that many deceivers have entered into the world who don't confess that Jesus has come in the flesh.--Addressing the form of deception that this Crosstalk dealt with may seem unloving to some but it was put forth with genuine, sincere love and concern. The main deception dealt with on this broadcast is the claim that the Roman Catholic Church is the one true church founded by Christ 2,000 years ago. --Returning to Crosstalk to deal with this issue was Mike Gendron. Mike is the founder and director of Proclaiming the Gospel Ministry. Mike was a devout Roman Catholic for over 3 decades and was taught to rely upon the authority of the church above all else. Last Wednesday, Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia appeared to succumb to pressure to support a revived version of the -Build Back Better- bill. This plan is deceptively wrapped up in a new package called the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.--What's in this legislation and why is Manchin turning his back on the people of West Virginia- Is this just another step toward the Great Reset---Joining Jim to investigate this latest development was Peter Rykowski. Individuals like President Biden insisted that if you're fully vaccinated and boosted you can't get COVID. He followed that plan yet tested positive. Why- --Dr. Deborah Birx, former White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator, said recently that she wasn't surprised that those who were fully vaccinated and boosted are getting COVID.--Statistics coming forth from the UK indicate that those fully vaccinated accounted for more than 90- of the deaths attributed to COVID-19. That drug is known for its rebound effect. The president was declared free and clear after five days but Twila wasn't so certain. She felt he would rebound and he did. So it's not a case where he's contracted a new case of COVID.
