This is an journey through the roots of my aesthetics regarding 90's hip hop and G-funk. I selected the most moody and eerie tracks that played a key role into shaping my modern techno sound.

This recording was made during a challenging time for me and my fellow Ukrainians, amidst an existential struggle for the values of our community. Music is an essential part of my life, transcending the confines of style and perception. The story you are about to hear was recorded in the largest country in Europe, historically known as Kyivan Rus, where the principles of freedom and self-defense reign supreme. Through this set, I aim to share a narrative that lies deep within me.

This recording is a reflection of my artistic philosophy as a musician and DJ. I tell a story that combines depth and light-heartedness. Music is serious and important as a craft. It's a universal language all of us intuitively understand. But at the same time music should be enjoyed with an open mind, without any preconceptions or expectations. Here I combine the things I love the most about music: commanding and powerful low frequencies, abstract and emotional sound design and textured rhythms. All of that being heavily inspired by my love for the clubs, dancefloors and the wonderful communities they create.

With this mix I have really tried to express full vulnerability. Often, there is an aching pressure to make music or curate mixes with the underlying thought of ‘I want this to be well received’ - when really, what's most important, is that the music touches your own soul in an authentic way. Tracks that often fall between the cracks of defined genre’s, this is a 2 hour collection of records that resonate heavily.

The theme is love and lunacy. You will hear a lot of Melodies (which is not usually the case in my other podcasts😅). These melodies are the ones that stuck with me these last years …. It’s my first «ambientish » mix let’s say, with nearly no rhythms and many feminine voices. Only few percussions made their way into the mix cause I am too fascinated by drums. I wanted the podcast to transcript my feelings toward summer and melancholy.

With this mix, I really focused on my home nation of Ireland with only Irish artists being included. With a wide range of artists and genres from techno, hard groove, garage and breaks, I am really happy with how this mix tuned out. I really tried to encapsulate my own sound by using loads of music from friends and beyond as well as my own music.
