This podcast is a reading of the fifth part of my six-part free verse poem about my personal heroes. This part concerns my dad who lived a difficult life in three continents and achieved both relative wealth, suffered poverty despite working long hours with excellent salaries, without ever complaining, shirking his responsibilities, blaming others or compromising his principles. The world never needed people like my dad more than it does today--men and women who set high standards for themselves and uncompromisingly met them, no matter the cost not for accolades, fame or or fortune, but simply because it is the right thing to do.

Esta es mi lectura de la tercera de seis partes de mi poema en verso libre, Unsung Heroes - Remedios. Las primeras cuatro partes conciernen a mis abuelos y aparecieron por primera vez en mi primer libro de poemas, Of Pain and Ecstasy: Collected Poems (c) 2011. Las dos últimas partes, escritas inmediatamente después de la muerte de mis padres, aparecieron por primera vez en mi último libro publicado de poemas, Echoes of Dawn at Dusk: Collected Poems (Volume 2) (c) Diciembre de 2020. This is my reading of the third of a six-part free verse poem, Unsung Heroes - Remedios. The first four parts covering my grandparents first appeared in my first book of poems, Of Pain and Ecstasy: Collected Poems (c) 2011. The last two, written immediately after the death of my parents, first appeared in my most recently published book of poems, Echoes of Dawn at Dusk: Collected Poems (Volume 2) (c) December 2020.

Las partes I a IV se publicaron por primera vez en mi primer libro de poemas, Of Pain and Ecstasy, Collected Poems (Del dolor y el éxtasis: poemas recopilados) en 2011.
