This is the first of six parts that comprise my longest free-verse poem. The poem first appeared in my first collection of poetry, Of Pain and Ecstasy: Collected Poems. Ovr the next few day I intend to record additional new readings of the remaining five parts of the poem and post them here. The last two poems in this collection are about my parents and were both written immediately after their death. The first appeared in print in my second collection of poems, Echoes of Dawn at Dusk, in December, 2020.
