If Deng Xiaoping were still with us today, how would he navigate the current dynamics between the United States and China?

To explore this question and beyond, Endgame invites Victor Gao—who once worked directly with the great man.

Victor and Gita exchange many thoughts, all hinging on one central observation: America’s misunderstanding of China’s international posture is both evident and consequential.

In this 70-minute conversation, Victor guides us through how the world should truly read China—its history, strategy, and worldview.
