Topic: Doing What Is Pleasing To The Lord Adds Rich Blessings And His Favour.

Rom. 15:1. We then who are strong ought to bear with ĺweakness of others, or infirmities of others, and not to please ourselves.

Colos. 3: 23 & 24. Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Dereck Prince, Evangelist says, " "Spiritual mark of strength is - its not how much you can do, what ability you have, but how much you can bear the weakness of others.

Paul says, "We ought not to please ourselves " We got to understand, everytime we are pleasing ourselves, we are doing nothing that's worth anything to God." The first thing we need to do is to deny ourselves. This ego in us that is always aserting itself saying, "I want, I wish, I feel, I think, that's what I like..." has got to be denied. We need to say, It's not I, but we, we, we.."

If we always say "yes" to ourselves and "No" to others' needs, we cannot lead an enjoyable and victorious Christian life. We cannot be both a self pleaser and a Christ pleaser. It's impossible.

Luke 9:23 says, And Jesus said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

The first thing we need to do, is to deny ourselves. We can follow Jesus only when we deny ourselves, and then take up His cross daily to follow Him.

Help us Lord whatever we do, not to please ourselves or others but do what is right and acceptable in thy sight, and earn true blessings and thy favour in our lives. In ....

Topic: To Let Go. If We Are Willing To Yield And Let Go We Will Be Blessed Even More.

We know the familiar story of two mother's claiming the child as their own. Solomon with wisdom puts them on a test. The woman who was the real mother claimed the baby. But, the one whose child is dead claims more strongly that it's hers. Solomon hears the case wherein both clamed baby was theirs. Solomon asks for a knife. Then he said, "I'll cut the baby in two and give each of you half. The woman to whom the baby did not belong said, "That's right. Cut the baby into two and give me my half." But the real mother did not want to see her baby die. She said, "No, give her the baby; let the child live." Solomon said, "She is the true mother! Give it to her." As A result his wisdom became famous not only in Israel but throughout the world.

It's unfortunately more prevalent in the churches and ministries. You might have worked hard faithfully and sincerely. But someone else contests it and claims and takes it.

I have seen this happening in the last four decades as a child of God.

There are times we are all put to test. You have a right to contest and claim it. Do I look to establish my reputation? Or do I let somebody else have all that I have worked for, all that I have achieved, all that I prayed through.

It depends on whether you love yourself more than the baby or the baby more than yourself? We need to put this question many times to ourselves.

When you and I come across such situation, you will be able to measure how really your love is. If we are willing to give it away, we are most blessed to give than to contest and spoil the name.

I really sometimes don't understand why people contest and fight knowing that it's the shortest time we live in this world. One fine day, we are gone!

Many of us including me are included. Missionaries, Pastors, Evangelists, church leaders, we need to understand when we yield and let go the baby we laboured for, we are truly blessed and promoted.

The lesson we learn is - we have to be willing to let go. It's unfair, unreasonable, its unjust! So what? Do you want to fight and contest and win it and lose your testimony? The Lord God is in control. He will give you many rewards eternally for your righteous deeds. Our deeds will follow after our death but not how many quarrels we won or how many arguments we won.

If God asked you to sacrifice what you hold on and held precious.. could you do it?

Let the people around see our righteous and loving deeds and come to Christ. Don't hold on... Let go and yield when God asks us to...

The world that we live is short and therefore help us to understand Lord that dying to self is the only path to true freedom and blessing. Give us your grace to yield and let go so that we allow good name and be a blessing to others till our sojourn in this transient world and life ends..

Topic: Be An Encourager! Be A Barnabas In Someone's Life.

An Encourager is basically unselfish in nature and always has helping nature to uplift someone.

"A word of Encouragement during a failure is worth more than hours of praise after success." Is it not true? When there is a failure or set back all they need is the warm words of support, and smile. It may be children, their studies and during exams or it might be you as a leader in your professional job or as a parent or as a spouse.

Encouragement is a powerful tool which turns failures into success, despair into joy. Encouragement is breathing life into someone, giving a helping hand to someone in need or demoralized. A good and genuine leader always encourages others who are in need. When there is no one around you, the one who stands boldly and helps and supports is the true encourager.

Acts 9: 26& 27. We see the life of Barnabas, who is called encourager in the New Testament. Barnabas stood up for Paul when he was shunned and distanced by the early believers. He encouraged Paul and told them that Saul encountered Jesus and has really changed. If Barnabas was not there to give timely encouragement there wouldn't have been 70% of the new Testament. That's blessed. Is it not?

John Mark was traveling with Barnabas and Paul on the first missionary journey. John Mark abruptly left both of them and returned back.

Acts 15: 37 & 38. In the next missionary journey Barnabas wanted to give John Mark second chance to come with him and Paul. But Paul refused to take John Mark. Therfore Barnabas took John Mark with him and left. His encouragement as a leader and evangelist gave two powerful evangelists, Paul and John Mark and this John Mark who wrote gospel of Mark.

An Encourager will always try to uplift others, build others and support others. Here we see clearly Barnabas showed a worthy example and his deeds show certainly, he is more righteous than Paul at that point of time.

There are few people who encouraged me the most when I needed. By His grace I have encouraged many people especially the younger ones and families, when needed.

When you get an opportunity to speak a word of Encouragement speak out. You will lose nothing but gain. Be an helping hand. May the world know you with noble deeds rather than your riches and position in the society.

We need to remember, God blessed us not to withold but be a blessing to others.

Help us Lord to share a warm and encouraging word when we meet someone or when we go to church ... and give us the heart to bless and encourage others.

Topic: Spirit Of Unforgiveness. If We Want The Flow Of God's Blessings .. In Our Lives, We Need To Kill And Root Out Unforgiving Spirit.

When we have or cultivate the spirit of forgiving others, blessings of God are upon us and God's own signature can be seen by the people in and around us.

But, harboring unforgiving spirit is very dangerous. And it becomes more poisonous than cancer or a poisonous serpent bite. It causes several ailments. And takes a person to the depth of depression because of unrest, hatred, resentment and bitterness boiling within not just for days, but for months and years.

Unforgiveness gives birth to grudge and vengeance. Absalom harbored hatred and bitterness inside for years ftom the date of adultery committed to His own sister, Tamar by his cousin. Absalom was restless all these years till he finally planned a party and killed him. Unforgiving spirit therefore leads to bitterness, grudge and revenge destroying lives, families, churches and societies and gives sleepless 😢 nights.

Mt. 6:12: Forgive our trespasses even as we forgive those who trespass against us. It's very clear. Jesus will not forgive us if we don't forgive others. Prayer we make so many times doesn't have any good positive effect.

Unforgiveness completely drains away peace in the family, peace with the neighbors, peace in the workplace and peace in the churches and in the society. It derails the unity and togetherness, be it at home, in society or church.

Without forgiving others we cannot operate in faith. We can never have an amicable, harmonious and happy relationship.

Help us and give us a heart to forgive others even if they have hurt us Lord, caused loss and injustice and put us down, so that we come up with a greater measure of blessings, success, joy, peace and tranquility in us...

Topic: Forgiving Heart. If We Have A Forgiving Heart We Have Won Half The Battle Already.

Forgiveness is not a request but it's the command of God.

Forgiveness or forgiving others is the most God like act. A forgiving heart is the sign of how close is the relationship with God.

Forgiveness cuts short prolonged strained relationship. Forgiveness heals both, especially the one who forgives. It strengthens faith. It allows the flow of God's blessings on us. Forgiveness gives us the power to touch people. To bond with people, to comfort them, and to draw them to Christ

Eph. 4:32. Be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.

To most people forgiving is very very hard. Because of suffering and pain they go through, and because of injustice and humiliation meted out to them.

People around you or with you might have cheated you, might have maligned you, and gossiped against you. They might have put you down. And have not allowed you to progress and caused injustice to you. Well, it happens in this world. The world doesnt want you to progress. We all go through this at point of time or other.

Cheer up! This world is not ours and not eternal. We are just pilgrims in this world.

Such attempts of those will always be defeated. And when we forgive them, we will be blessed, we will be favoured, and honored, though initially we may have to go through tough times.

The grudge, the hatred, the revenge, the resentment, the stress, the sleepless nights which is caused due to unforgiving spirit, the unrest to take revenge, and the diseases that crop up due to unforfogiveness can be halted at the cross of Christ.

Jesus showed it to us on cross by forgiving all those who plotted his down fall by wrong accusations.

David had two occasions to kill king Saul who spent most of his precious to kill David. His people around him said, "let's kill him. We have him in our hands. God gave Saul into our hands."

David would have killed him and become king immediately. But he forgave Saul and left him free. The result, later on Saul killed himself and David eventually has become the king. No enemy, no adversary can stop God's elevation in your life if you have the heart of forgiving those especially who hate and malign your name.

Help us to understand Lord to have the heart of forgiveness. And give us your grace to let go the one we hold dearly so that thy blessings will certainly be even more greater than what we hold on to.......

Topic: God's Plan To Prosper Us And Give Us A Hope And A Future.

Jerm 29: 11. For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and future.

These are the normal questions human being often comes across. Why my life looks dark and why am I always facing this uncertainty of low in my life? Is there a purpose for the problems I'm facing? When will the dark period and uncertainty end? How will things turn out? Why am I engulfed with confusion and doubt instead of enlightenment and hope?

These questions vary from person to person depending on their situations. Even children of Israel faced uncertainty of life and future when they were in exile as captives.

This promise of encoragement came from prophet Jeremiah when people of Israel were listening to the diviners and false Prophets who were deceiving them with false prophecies.

We as God's children also go through similar difficult situations especially when we go astray like the children of Israel.

We can take comfort from this verse. But knowing that its not a promise to immediately rescue us from hardship or suffering, but rather a true promise from God to give a future.

We must remember and understand that these words were spoken to a displaced, defeated, depressed group of exiles. They have given up and hung their harps and had lost their song 🎵. They have given up their hope and forgotten that they have a future.

We too react like that when things are not going our way inspite of our best efforts. We have set backs, challenges and failures and disappointments.

But when we turn away from our wicked deeds, call upon Him, seek His face, and His kingdom and righteousness, He will hearken to us and give us not only hope but a future which will be joyful and secured.

Thank you Lord for the good plans you have purposed for all of your children. As your children help us to not to be disturbed nor listen to other voices which mislead us to confusion and dark future. But enable us to listen to your voice and this promise that our future is secured in your safe hands. Help us to take right decisions under your guidance to have a hopeful future and purpose.... In ...

Topic: Hope In Christ Propels Us To Enjoy Life Knowing Our Future Is Secured.

As we listen through the divine Word and remind ourselves of the enduring truth, that our God is a God of hope. Never be disheartened nor disillusioned as the hope in crucified and risen Christ assures us the hope in the darkest of times, in the deepest of valleys and in the most challenging of circumstances.

Rom 8:24: For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

Those who have made Christ as their Saviour of life, hope is an unshakeable assurance anchored in the person and work of Jesus Christ.

As we refelect on the words of prophet Isaiah, we are drawn to the image of people walking in darkness. This darkness is not merely the absence of light, but a symbol of despair, fear and uncertainty. Yet, into this darkness a great light has dawned. The birth, death and the ressurection of Christ which was prophesied much before it happened and the prophesy was fulfilled.

Charles Spurgeon, a man greatly respected in the christian community, who once said, "Hope itself is like a star - not to be seen in the sunshine of prosperity, and only to be discovered in the night of adversity."

Rom 8:24 I already shared: For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

Ps. 30:5. There is weeping in the night, but joy comes in the morning. That’s our hope.

Hope is the best news we could ever get. The hope in Christ allows us to face life everyday knowing that God is in control. This hope in Christ allows us the freedom to become all that God had called us to be. The hope as a christian, as a child of God restores meaning and purpose from the rubble of our shattered lives.

Lord, when anxiety rises up in us, your comfort gives us renewed hope and cheer. Thy name O Lord is a fortified tower, the righteous run to it and are safe. Renew our strength that we may mount up with wings like eagles and do not become tired wearied and not faint. In ....

Topic: Lord Searches Our Hearts And Motives. We May Be Standing, Worshiping, Praying Or Preaching Sweetly. That's All Man Can See.

But Jesus looks at our Motives behind as what we do. Jesus looks at us as why we do. The world knows what we do, but they do not know why we do. But God knows..

1 Chron. 28:9 says, the Lord searcheth our hearts, imaginations and understands even our intents of our thoughts, why we do.

We can be seen as a christian by the world around us when we carry a big Bible and a big cross. But God does not see us like that.

Word of God says in Col. 3: 23 & 24: "And whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord, and not unto men. Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance." But unfortunately it happens the other way round to please people....

1 Samuel 16:7: "For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance but the Lord looks at our heart."

We are aware that King Saul instead of pleasing God by destroying all the oxen of the Amalakites, as commanded by the Lord, he kept best of the oxen to please his people. The Lord removed the kingship from Saul immediately.

Amother incidence. Samuel went to Jessie to anoint one of his sons as the king of Israel, as per the Lord's command. The eldest one, Eliab comes. Saul saw him. He was tall and handsome. Samuel thought surely this is the man.

But the Lord said unto Samuel in 1 Sam.16:7: "Look not unto the countenance or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him. For the man looketh at the outward appearance but the Lord looketh on the heart."

There are few blessed church leaders, prayer warriors, worship leaders and preachers in the World who do it from the heart to edify, to comfort, to admonish to build the kingdom Of God

Pulpits are unfortunately used nowadays to pray and Preach to pat each other and to please each other, to draw favour wasting precious time thus thwarting true revival and joy. We need to serve the lord by doing wat pleaseth Him.

Help us Lord to have the right motive and right attitude to serve you from within and not outwardly so that our work we do will be accepted and pleasing in your sight....

Topic: Contentment Is The Freedom From Anxiety, Wanting And Craving. It's The Cornerstone Of Happiness.

We find contentment at the same place we find Christ, i.e salvation.

It can bring peace of mind and positivity that can facilitate growth and self improvement without comparing with neighbors, relatives and other peer groups.

Contentment can also be called as self-satisfaction, satisfied with what you have and in whatever situation you are in.

It's the essential need especially of a Christian. Because with Contentment, envy, jealousy and related worries will never haunt nor crop up. And we can have better focus on our goals and goal setting.

We meditated earlier from the Word of God wherein Paul addressing to young Timothy in 1 Tim. 6:6 said, "Godliness with contentment is great gain." For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weakness, insults, hardships, persecutions and calamities.

2 Corin. 12:10, "For when I am weak, then I am strong."

A contended Christian like Paul trusts God, is pure in heart, and the one most willing to be used of God.

*We live in a world that breeds discontent.*

However when it comes to studies and coming up in life as a young person is different. You have to strive to excel in studies and steadily move higher and higher in your studies and in your job. For eg. In the beginning, you may be an Officer, but as you gain experience you need to have the ambition to steadily move higher and higher in your field of profession.

Coming back to godly contentment, in.conclusion, our contentment does not depend on our circumstances and situations in life, but on our relationship with Christ. In all situations of our lives, we can live a contended, satisfied and joyful life like Paul.

Help us to strive to grow stronger in our relationship with you so that we have contentment and satisfaction in life....

Topic: Contentment Is Godly Gain And Joy. Discontentment Brings In Misery And Suffering.

1 Tim. 6:6. Godliness with contentment is great gain. Wherever contentment is there, there is godliness and satisfaction in life.

Contentment is finding joy in what God has given you. It's a christian grace that grows steadily with our Spiritual growth.

Paul and Silas showed real contentment to the world. Their singing in the midst of persecution and chained in prison shows clearly contentment works and springs from within - inside out.

90% of the human suffering is mental. Comparing with others and desire to have more is the root of suffering.

A poet once wrote: "As A rule man is a fool. When it's hot, he wants it cold, when it's cold, he shivers and wants it hot. Always wanting what is not in our reach leads to misery. What an insightful observation by the poet on human nature. Want more comparing with others leads to suffering and fretting.

Is it possible with us what apostle Paul says in Philip. 4:11?: "I have learned in whatever state I am to be content."

In 12 & 13 verses Paul further beautifully responded to life. "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret to be content in every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want."

We pray Lord that you grant all of us to have that contentment apostle Paul showed so that we will always be satisfied and happy in life.....
