It is the building of the character that should be central aim in all of our lives. Business, school, college, church, profession, pleasure, struggle, reading all are but means to the one end.

The growth of one's manhood is infinitely of more importance than the growth of one's fortune. Everything we do leaves it's impress within, upon our soul. We are building life all the while whatever we are doing.

The work itself may fail, the efforts may fail, but in the workers' disappointment, amid the failure of his plans, the work on his or her character goes on or lives on. Even in defeats the struggling leaves a recompense within. Giving though nothing gift comes from the gift, blesses the giver.

Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will and character.

In all toil there is profit, but mere talk only leads to poverty. Prov. 14: 23.

The nominal Christian life that costs nothing is not worthy of the name. There has to be self restraint, discipline and severe schooling. There must be struggle and the agonising effort. If we have to reach the goal, and win the prize, we must put every energy of life into the race or mission we carry. There must be sacrifice of indolence, self will and personal ease. Too much pampering spoils an earnest Christian.

Every noble life is a struggle from beginning to end. Only those who resist and fight and overcome are successful in life.

This is true in every sphere - in business, in study, in professional life and in spiritual life too!!

Profound evangelist who worked and toiled hard 18 hours in a day once said, "Nothing comes easy in life. Nothing. We need to pay the cost."

Sitting in an easy chair relaxing for hours together on social media and friends will take us only to mediocrity. And settle in ordinary job or position, be it our professional or spiritual lives.

Are we resisting sin, overcoming temptation, living Victoriously in trials? If so, we can expect fruitfulness and success in our professional and spiritual lives. If not, we are not living worthily and thereby reap failures, disappointment and dejection. It's our own doing..

Topic : We Ask For Temporal Things; And He Gives Us Both, Temporal And Eternal.

Our Little Prayers To God Are Over -Answered.

Ps. 37:4. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

No true, faith-winged prayer goes unanswered, but many a prayer that seems to us unanswered is really over-answered. The very thing we ask God does not grant, because He is able to do something infinitely better for us. We ask for bodily help or relief, and He sees that we need far more some deep spiritual blessing. He answers our soul's needs before He gratifies our personal wishes. Otherwise we don't change!!

Jesus raised Lazarus from death. After Lazarus was raised, life, how he lived no one knows. Nothing is ever mentioned in the Bible. But, then, he died the 2nd time.

An alcoholic, on death bed, fearing death, gave an oath of not touching the wine. He gave his life after the counsel. God in His mercy healed him completely. But, he is back to his old habbit.

I always therefore emphasis ; True spiritual healing is 1000 times better than physical healing." Eternal life is secured.

So, we ask for a temporal ; He does not give it to us, but instead He bestows upon us a spiritual good that enriches us forever.

We ask for lifting away of a burden or sickness or averting of a sorrow; our plea is not granted in form, instead we receive the new impartation of the power of Christ, or an angel comes and ministers to us. Thus many times our little prayers are over-answered.

Lord often times we ask for little temporal things of this world, but you give us more than that which blesses our body and soul.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

Psalm 119: verses selected from 67-80:

67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.

71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

75 I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.

74 They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.

In his book, The Problem Of Pain, C S. Lewis said, "God whispers to us in pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pain." But even that shouts many Christians are unable to hear the voice because they heed elsewhere to the voices of the world.

It is said, only while going through challenges, tough times, set backs people realise the need of the Lord Almighty and come out more matured and stronger in faith, stronger in life and closer in relationship with God Almighty than ever before.

We are not alone in the experience of pain. God Himself came in the human form and suffered, but rose victoriously giving us hope. Joseph and job are examples who persevered pain and suffering, triumphed to success and glory

Exod. 30:34 - 36. And the Lord said unto Moses, "Take unto thee sweet spices... and thou shall make it a perfume... And thou shall beat some of it very fine, and put some of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of meeting.... You may feel as if you are being broken today either in body or in spirit...

Some of the ingredients of the holy annointing oil has to be crushed before they are used. Because until they are crushed, their fragrance is not released. The crushing of incense is the picture of what happened to Christ. Just as the incense is to be crushed, we too have to be broken before He could be our Saviour....

Without shedding of bread there is no salvation. Heb 9 :22.

Man is gripped with many of these fears such as failure, rejection, ridicule, sickness, pain, fear of unknown, loneliness, disappointment, list goes on..

It is contrary to the mind of God for His people to be timid, fearful and anxious. And and to supress our fears He assures us of His constant presence, power and provision through His divine majestic Word.

What we keep on thinking and what we keep on confessing and declaring depending on the troublesome situations in our life, the same will happen. Familiar proverb, "What you think you become" is true indeed. But when we declare based on the Word of God saying, "I'm restored, I'm delivered, I'm protected, I'm healed" based on the divine Word of God, we will be victorious and joyful in all circumstances.

When we declare what God has decreed, the written Word becomes a manifested Word, and the manifested Word becomes the glorious Word and the glorious Word becomes a Victorious Word. So, let us keep declaring the divine promises of God with our mouth. Shall we?

​Topic : Jesus Christ Is Our Peacemaker And Redeemer In This Violant and Peaceless World!

Statistics will show that that there are many people, all over the nations, who suffer from increased depression, anxiety, anger, rejection, fear, etc.!

There are many reasons for this, such as broken homes/divorces/ split ups. Loss of jobs/unemployment. Deaths that leave voids and the painful memories of months and years gone bye!

Christ is the answer to all the situations in our lives. And He is the peace giver and peacemaker. He is the only Way, the Truth and the Life!

Today, would like to share a little history behind another very familiar Christmas song. This song that I mention, is noted to be one of the most blessed Christmas hymns that we sing each year.

It has been recorded in more languages and sung around the world.

Does anyone guess what this song might be?

Right, Its Silent Night, Holy Night....

The lyrics to Silent Night were written by Josef Mohr, a man whose name was unloved in his home town of Salzburg, Austria. Mohr was one of three illegitimate sons to Anna Schoiberin, while his father, Franz, was a mercenary soldier who eventually abandoned the family.

Perhaps due to his mother’s poverty, the clergy of the local church took Mohr Josef in as a foster child. Josef had affinity toward music, which was encouraged by the church, and he eventually decided himself to pursue the priesthood. He was ordained August 21, 1815, and was sent to Oberndorf, just north of Salzburg, Austria.

There he met Franz Xaver Gruber, a local schoolteacher who was an organist at Old Saint Nicholas Church.

The friendship of the two is what led to the creation of Silent Night.

Silent Night—Holy night in the original German—lyrics was prepared by Mohr Josef.

That christmas eve evening on 1818 at Midnight service, Gruber Xavier strapped on his guitar and led the congregation along with Josef Mohr at St. Nicholas in the first rendition of Silent Night.

Today, Silent Night is perhaps one of the most famous Christmas carol in history. It was primarily scripted in german. Later on, It has been translated into most languages.

This blessed song which most of us sing during this time was written by Charles Wesley.

Charles Wesley, great song writer also helped his brother John Wesley, to start the Methodist movement. As a writer of more than 8,000 hymns, his song writing played an important part for christmas carols.

The future king wouldn’t just be a ruler for Israel but a redeemer for the whole world. The Jews may not have understood this at the time, but Israel’s Messiah would meet the deep needs of people all over the world. Redemption from sin leads to everlasting joy and peace.

Because Charles Wesley is responsible for thousands of hymns out of which is this famous lyrics:

Hark the herald angels sing,

“Glory to the newborn King!

Peace on earth and mercy mild

God and sinners reconciled”

Joyful, all ye nations rise

Join the triumph of the skies

With the angelic host proclaim:

“Christ is born in Bethlehem

Song says, God and sinners reconciled through Christ's birth.

Yes, Christmas is Reconciliation of God and sinners through Jesus Christ. Reconciliation also with others whom we do not like or dealt harshly with... Reconciliation with each other comes only through true forgiveness and true love that Christ manifested.

This hymn "Hark the herald angels sing" was first published in 1739.

Word of God says, “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8b) and give salvation to us.

All throughout the Bible, we read about Jesus wrecking the devil’s works. Every time he resisted temptation, healed an illness, or cast a demon out of a person, he made a mockery of the devil. Of course, the ultimate example of this came at the cross, where he devastated, destroyed and disintegrated the devil’s plans and destined him for destruction in a powerful display of triumph over sin and death.

Mt. 7:21. Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord" will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is heaven.

We are never to be rebellious or slow to submit to God, but we must be sure that we have done all we can before we fold our hands and say, "Thy Will be done." There come many experiences, however, in which we can do nothing, and can only submit. We must not only ourselves strive faithfully in all things to do the will of God , but must suffer it to be done in us, even when it lays us low in the dust, even when it strips us bare and shatters all our happiness.

This will is to be accepted, too, not rebelliously, with murmuring and complaint, but songfully, joyfully and lovingly.

"God can do wonders with a broken heart, if we can give Him all the pieces without holding back.," - Ben.

"The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you."

So, the best way to be protected from all trouble and heartache is to allow the will of God. How it can be fulfilled?

Simple yet challenging, but exciting to implement.

God reveals His Plan through the Bible. Let Bible be our compass. Let the Word become our breath and life.....
