Philip. 2:13 & 14. But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus!

In order to reach our goal, the first thing we need to bear in mind is, we must keep our eyes fixed on our goal- and stay focused.

Due to threatening pandemic, against all odds and stiff opposition within Japan, Government of Japan and sports fraternity have successfully initiated "2020 Tokyo Olympics" which is in progress.

Though Chanu Saikom Mirabai name we never heard till few days back, now her images splashed all over the leading newspapers and national T.V channels during last two days. As she won silver medal in the "49 kgs category" weightlifting competition in "2020 Tokyo Olympics."

Rich cash awards, other rewards and endorsements keep pouring in.

How true is the saying, "People that did not believe in you and felt you are nobody, will tell everyone how they met you after your success."

This is what happened to her. Nobody looked at Mirabai in her own village. But now, everyone wants to take a photograph with her. Politicians competing each other, and they are giving cash prizes in crores and awards. Just type "Mirabai" in Google search engine. You can find her name.

She pursued her dream with determination inspite of failure and several obstacles. she became overnight star by winning the only medal - silver medal for India till in this olympics.

After winning the silver medal Mirabai said. "I learnt a lot from last 'Rio Olympics' failure. It's the fruit of five years hard work. Winning an olympic medal was my dream."

Mirabai is the only sportsperson in this ongoing Olympics till now, who brought glory to India by winning the silver medal for India.

She tasted bitter defeat and failure in her last Rio olympics four years back. But, she did not give up. She had the strong desire and will power to pursue hard for this ongoing olympics. Her desire, discipline and hard work without giving up paid off.

"Those who lack confidence and have "fear of failure" will always remain there. But, attempting even after failures without giving up is real success like the young Mirabai.

The familiar proverb, "Make hay while the sun shines" is a reminder to all young people. Age is on your side. Do not waste your time and regret later. Pursue your goals and press on.

Apostle Paul too had a vision ahead of him, and he is letting us know that he is keeping his eyes on that goal.

When a runner starts out on the course, he doesn’t carry any unnecessary clothing or baggage. Because the excess weight will slow him down. So, is our walk with Christ had to be. Shedding out the habitual and chronic sins.. An athlete doesn’t run constantly looking behind him, because in doing so, he cannot see what dangers may lay in front of him.

Topic: One Who Embraces Or Clings To The Lord Amidst Adverse Circumstances Is Blessed!

We see in 1st chapter of Habakkuk, prophet Habakkuk questioned God as he was disturbed, and struggles in his faith when he sees men fragrantly violate God's law and distort justice on every level, without fear of any divine intervention. The nation of Judah stubbornly refuses to change her sinful ways. The present christian world is no better.

Though he began by questioning God, he concludes his book and his life with a psalm of beautiful Praise acknowledging the Lord's divine power, His wisdom and His redemptive plan.

Let us read Habakkuk. 03: 17 to 19. Though the fig tree may not blossom, ..... And they be no herds in the stall - Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

The name habaq means "One Who Embraces" or "Clings." So, at the end of the book, this name becomes appropriate because Habakkuk chooses to cling firmly to God regardless of what happens.

It's a great thing when anyone can say, "My Saviour!!" Many people can talk about Christ beautifully and eloquently. They can linger upon the story of His life, and speak with tender accents of His sufferings and death. They can paint the beauties of His salvation which He has provided. Yet, they cannot say "He is my Saviour." And what good all these works and the knowledge of Christ do them if they are not saved by Him?? ....

Topic : Our Words Define What We Are. In The Present IT Scenario, Our Whatsapp & Other Texts Will Also Reveal What We Are.

Prov. 18:21. Death & Life are in the power of the Tongue.

Prov. 15:01. A soft answer turneth away wrath; but harsh words stir up anger.

I've shared on this topic many a times. We pass in several areas of our lives but falter in one particular area of life.

Words are FREE; but how we use them cost us. Our Words can bless people. Our words can curse people.

Words have lot of power. With one word we can break relationship.

With one word where there is no relationship it can be built.

With few kind words we can steadily develop relationship; but on the other hand one wrong or hurtful or grevious word is enough to lit a great war of friction & storm.

It is the best that can happen is - 'to lose the debatable arguments and win the relationship'. But, often times it happens that we win arguments but lose precious relationships.

So, it's so important to be very careful. "Not raising our voice but raising the value of our words will build healthy & fruitful relationships." Because it's rain that grows flowers but not thunder.

"One good word is a gift. It will repay good. But one grevious or hurtful word is like a debt. We need to pay interest."

"Words can plant gardens; also words can burn large forests too!!"

What we eat may not remain in our stomach; but what we say remains in our heart forever and so, it's very important to think twice before we speak..

We use water regularly and we also use our words, but once they are used they cannot be retrieved.

To kill a person one weapon is enough; but to kill and hurt a mind just ONE hurtful word is enough.

When people come & shout without any proper reasoning, let us just ignore them, because It's not the rupee notes which make noise but coins make noise where it's value is insignificant.

The song, "Nearer my God, to thee" must be conditioned by, and often can come only through, E'en though it be a cross that raiseth me."

"Not only are the spiritual things the best things - but many times the spiritual things can be grasped only by letting go, and losing out of our hands the earthly things that we would love to keep."

God loves us too much to answer prayers for comfort and relief, even when we make them, if he can do it only at spiritual loss to us.

He would rather let it be hard for us to live, if there is blessing in the hardness or trials, than make it easy for us at the cost of the blessing.
