Heb. 11:6. Without faith, it is impossible to please God.

Volumes have been written and volumes have been spoken regarding that indefinable something called, "faith." Yet, we actually know little of the subject. Very few demonstrated that "faith" in the bible. The woman who touched the hem of the garment was healed miraculously from the incurable chronic disease she suffered for 12 long years.

So, faith is that quality or power by which the things desired become the things possessed. That is the nearest to a definition for faith attempted based on the Word of God.

We cannot weigh faith in a balance or confine it to a container. It is not something we can take out, look at it, and analyse.

Faith is more than belief. It is more than confidence. It is more than trust. And it is more than sum total of all these things.

Genuine faith in God is never boastful. It is pure. It will never work contrary to the will of God. Though it is certainly one of the gift of God, it can be received by those who love Him completely and desire those spiritual gifts. 1Corin. 14:1

Topic: One And Only Way To Avoid Despair, Depression And Then 'Burnout" Is To Hope In The Lord.

Isia. 40:31. They that hope in the Lord Shall not be wearied.

The first warning sign in our christian life is weariness. Next comes cynicism. And then comes 'burnout'. Busy in doing everything including so called christian activities without taking proper rest physically and without spending anytime in closet with the Creator is wasted time and energy. Doing much of the activities but nothing fruitful within and drying up. And find withered away though look victorious on the outer to people. But, despair, dejection, disillusionment, depression and then burn out will be the end result. Do you wish to come out of your broken dreams and burn out? Be it physical, mental and spiritual?

Helping people find hope after disappointment has a cost involved. We must understand that everything we do has a cost involved. Good or bad. Positive or negative depending on what we do, and with what motive we do. Often times we don't sleep well because of burn out and lose of our health. God tell us to be wise in whatever we do. Need to take proper rest and discipline our body.

How to overcome burn out and dryness in our lives?

Activities, wealth fame cannot avoid burn out. But Scripture is the only one can keep us out of burn out and dryness. Every soul is renewed when it hopes in the Lord. Isia 40:31 says....

Topic: What Is It That Will Not Allow Peace And Satisfaction In Our Lives? Besetting Sins.

Heb. 12:1. Let us lay aside every weight and every sin that easily beset is...

Besetting sins are the ones we continually struggle with and have a weakness towards it where we fall often like ' the drop of a hat' and easily. And thereby experience dissatisfaction, despondency and dejection in life. Because these things give pleasures but give only momentary pleasures.

These sins will never allow godly plans in our lives and will always keep us as 'Luke warm' and "distant Christians" to the Lord.

The best things of life come to us wrapped up in sweet packages by satan and keeps us as slaves of these sins. And thereby miss God's richest blessings in our lives. It is hard for us to have one or two besetting sins or one or two temptations that come perpetually upto us, stalking like a Goliath before us.

We know pretty well what it is to have sins which we do not overcome, which we do not even make efforts to wrestle with. But we allow it to overcome us again and again and therby fall short of the glory and favour of the Lord.

A renewed consecration to God is the need of the hour to overcome such sins and live a guilt free and stress free life with true divine peace and satisfaction. And rich blessings.

Prov. 24:16:

A wise man shall fall several times but riseth up again. But the wicked shall fall into mischief. But he will rise up and not give up.

Luke 22:32. "I have prayed for you that your faith should not fail," said Jesus.

We dwell in our own sins and when distress and calamity strikes, we realise then. Every intentional sin we do has its consequence though forgiven by His grace.

Repentance is not just confessing & falling into same sin again & again or dwelling in the same weakness. But we need to turn around totally from our weaknesses & unholy thoughts. And then the Restoration part will be done by the Lord.

Jesus very well knew the disciple, Simon Peter is about to trip & fall over his own over confidence & zeal by denying him thrice. Yet, the Lord beyond this devastating failure towards the disciple's attitude saw Peter's heart for repentance. And the Lord hence has done His part of restoration. And in the very first meeting, the same timid Peter .... when spoke with power and authority on "repentance" 3000 souls were added on a single day. And Peter and John healed a lame man - born lame by birth near the temple and preached there. They were taken into custody. And we hear about 5000 people were further added to the church. Can see that in St. John 4: 2-4.

Similarly, if we have a set back spiritually, personally or in any area of our lives, we should not give up but bounce back like Peter and not dwell in the defeated zone. Never give up like King Saul and the great army who trembled against Goliath. Because power of God was not evident in the life of King Saul and the army because of sin in their lives. But let us be a conqueror like David who demolished Goliath. Which is your Goliath tormenting you today?

Topic: Character Is Something That We Cannot Give Away Or Share With Others.

Rom.5:3-5.

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know suffering produces perseverance; perseverance character and character, and character, hope. And hope does not out us to shame..

Everyone start off with a right note. But how we are now is more important, and how we end our life is most important.

Character is personal. It is not a possession we can share with another. And it is not that we can hide it.

We can give a hungry man part of our loaf of bread. We can share our money with the one who needs. But character is something that we cannot give away or communicate. The brave soldier cannot share his courage with the pale timi

Character is our own, a part of our very being. It grows in us along the years. Acts repeated frequently become habits and character is made up in the end of these repeated acts so as to become a permanent part of the life.

So, building and developing character with good thoughts of blessing others, speaking words of life we must always aspire for.

It is something we must pursue and requires an active response through scriptures, prayer and practise of His presence.

Willing to be submissive to the governing rules and authority, esteeming others with respect and dignity, fear God, trustworthiness, caring, honest and upright life are few pillars of character.

Prov. 22:1. A good name is better than great riches.

The world renowned and most respected gifted star football player, Lionel Messi, under his leadership as the captain of the Argentine football team lifted the "Copa American footbal cup" beating arch rivals, Brazil yesterday, i.e on 10th July, 2021.

He received several awards for his outstanding football skills and performance.

Messi has received "European Golden Boot" award for three years - in the year 2013, 2017 and 2018.

He was also awarded "Federation Of International Football Association" in the year 2009 as the best player.

In 2019, playing for the international Barcelona club he represented, he was awarded "World Soccer Player of the year" for the year, 201

Known for his clean game with "Spirit of sportsmanship" and and his conduct within his team and with other teams has been without any blemish or scar whatsoever. His 'on-field' and 'off the field' conduct and ethics has been so excellent, that Messi has been appointed as as the 'goodwill ambassador of Unicef' in the year, 2010.

From the same country, earlier during 1980s and 90s legend Diego Maradona mesmerized the reputed international teams in the World cup tournaments with his magical dribbling skills and bamboozled host of defenders in scoring goals. And shot into instant fame.

He had millions of fans.

But he lost the respect of the world, when he was caught with doping charges while playing an international match. And he was banned. Later he was also arrested for using and possessing drugs.

Two great personalities from same country.

Messi has worldwide fame, name, reputation and commands respect for His impeccable behaviour.

Maradona has world wide fame too but he was not a role model as he lost his reputation and respect for his misdeeds.

Even in my own life and our own lives, the world is watching us. If we do great things and have great achievements, but lose our name like Maradona by doing corrupt things, we will earn nothing but lose our reputation and respect your here and also lose rewards in the new kingdom.

But like Messi, the player, if we achieve great things and live a clean and pleasing life by which people will be attracted and blessed, we will be rewarded by the world and society and especially in the eternal kingdom to come.

The greatest attribute in God is not His power though it is omnipotence; not His knowledge though it omniscience; not His glory though it is burning majesty; it is His love. He is the greatest as He blesses and serves. The brightest hour in Christ's is not the hour of His transfiguration, or of His miracle - working, or of His sublime teaching, but the hour when He hung in the darkness on His cross. Then it was that His love shown out in the most wondrous revealing. We need to remember for ourselves that the greatest thing in the world is love - that serving is the path to highest honour.

Philip. 2: 19-23. But I trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to send Timothy to you shortly, that I also may be encouraged when I know your state.

For I have no one like minded, who will sincerely care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ. But you know his proven character, that as a son with his father, he served with me in the gospel. Therefore, I hope to send him at once.

Paul is writing to all the saints, bishops and elders of the church at Philippines. Though Paul is unable to visit them immediately, he is writing to them in sending Timothy. Paul testifies so powerfully about Timothy's clean, transparent and righteous faithful life with so much joy and satisfaction.

Everyone of us need to be testified by others like Timothy and not we talking big about us. Others must testify us. That's the true blessing.

Our aim in everything that we do in this world has to be - to bring glory and honor to the Lord though every good work we do here may not be recognised.

God has given us several blessings, various talents and giftings. He watches with patience as how sincere and faithful we are, in using them.

Riches, wealth, power, position, stature can be enjoyed only here on earth but has no recognition in heaven above.

It is good to be successful, but more than being successful God is looking for faithfullness in us. For men and women of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness.

A name to be earned for uprightness and faithfulness like Timothy before the eyes of the Lord is far better than thousand praises of people.
