Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and light unto my path.

Word of God gives us direction in every area, in every aspect, in every circumstance and in every condition of life.

The Psalmist knows how important is the Word of God.

Word of God becomes more meaningful and blessing - the way we pay heed to it, the way we live it out and the way we walk by it. It then m becomes oxygen, bread and butter in our life. We begin to lean on it because it leads us perfectly and in right way.

God's Word as a guiding light is a lamp unto our feet, not a sun flooding a hemisphere. Like the sun it is not meant to shine upon miles of road, but in the darkest night it will always show us the one next step. Then, when we have taken that step, carrying the lamp forward, it will show us another step, and thus on till it brings us out into little steps one by one. We need to learn well the lessons of patience if we would have God guide us. The decisions we take leaning on the Word of God, be it career, marriage or any important decision, we will never regret. Because, it will be God's best for us.

He does not lead us rapidly. Only pace by pace does He take us, and unless we wait, we must go in darkness. But if we wait for Him, it will always be light for one step.

Topic: We Cannot Enjoy The Goodness Of Christ Without Knowing Him Personally.

Taste and see that the Lord is good. And trust in Him. Prov. 34: 8.

There is always an often quoted phrase in several worship centers saying, "God is good ; all the time God is good." But the moment they come out of the worship centre or the church, the same old disappointment, dejection, despondency haunts them. Loneliness grips them like a strong vice. Depression becomes a close companion of many Christians. Without Christ within and not knowing Him personally adds all this negativity in life.

Psalmist, David has known His Creator personally and intimately. He says in Psalm 23:1. "The Lord is my shepherd." He has the trust and confidence and has experienced His goodness thoroughly in His life. That's why he challenges everyone to personally taste and then see that the Lord's goodness. He trusted the Lord and walked with Him and was able to see experience God's goodness.

Another perfect example is apostle Paul. The one who hated Christ and His followers, He encountered and tasted God's divine and unconditional love and therefore he manifested the love of Christ in His sufferings.

Paul has been persecuted, whipped, beaten to death often times, put in prison, but yet he pursued preaching the gospel, the crucified and risen Christ, just because he testifies that he believed in Christ and His goodness.

Though Paul encountered several hardships while sharing the gospel, but yet he says, he is not ashamed. Like the psalmist, Paul too experienced the Love and goodness of Christ.

In order to know the Lord's goodness we need to know Him and have Him received in our lives personally as our Lord and Saviour, and continually experience putting to Death our sins, Burial of our carnal/worldly/ungodly nature and Rise with Christ with a new and divine nature. We need to know, and trust the death, burial and resurrection of Christ and experience it personally as explained, to enjoy His goodness.

That's the reason apostle Paul and the psalmist experienced and tasted Jis majestic power The one who has no experience in Christ and never tasted His goodness even in suffering, can never testify saying, "I am a christian. I am the child of the living God." We can never tell. The life of Paul has been the life experienced in Christ.

We can enjoy His goodness even in suffering like apostle Paul, by having Christ in the centre of our lives and trust and experience death and burial of our carnal nature - pride, envy, jealousy, hatred, bitterness, lustfulness and rise in His holiness and majesty to taste His goodness.

When we trust Christ as our Saviour and Lord, and Love His Word and lean upon it, we will be like eagles and we will neither be tired nor wearied.

When we wait and lean upon God's Word, it produces faith in our lives. "Faith produces finest moments in darkest hours."

"If We Judge People, We Have No Time To Love Them."

No doubt it is easier to discover other people's faults than our own. Many of us are troubled more about the way others live, than we are with our own shortcomings. We manifest greater feeling of responsibility for the acts and neglects of others than for our own. Now, the truth is, every man must bear his burden. We shall not be called to answer to God for the idle words, the sinful acts, and the neglect of duty of others.

But there is one person whose every act, word, disposition and feeling we shall have to give an account, and that is ourself. We better train ourselves therefore, to keep close, minute, incessant and conscientious watch over our own life. We better give less attention to other's mistakes and failures, and more to our own.

Most of us would find little for looking after other people's faults if we give strict attention to our own. Besides, seeing and knowing our own defects would make us more charitable to those of others.

More and more we come closer to the Lord, more of our own shortcomings are revealed and we will not find time to see the faults of others. And most important, we will not have any more desire to see faults of others.

Philip. 3: 13 & 14. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press towards the goal for the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Success or any distinctive achievement in any field is possible with a willpower to win or rather to achieve. Few achieve as the remaining give up and go after easy going life - getting into life of mediocrity.

Mount Everest, we cannot climb overnight. Many actually start in the begining, but finally only one or two reach the peak. Its a daunting task. Only the determined and industrious do not give up. It's not one or two hours. The fastest could climb approx in 39 hours and six minutes. Then we can imagine when the rest can climb.

So, we too need to go up slowly, step by step. True christian life is always mountain climbing. Heaven is above us and ever keeps above us. It never gets easy to go heaven ward. It is slow and challenging to grow better. But it leads us to true inward peace. No one leads to sainthood at a bound. Nobody gets victory once for all over our faults and sins. It's a struggle of years, and everyday must have it's victories if we are ever to be final and complete overcomers. Yet, we cannot expect to reach the radiant mountain-summit at one bound. We certainly ought to be climbing at least step by step. We ought not to sit and relax on the same little terrace, but part way up the mountain, day after day. Higher and higher should be our unresting aim till we reach the pinnacle of glory.

Topic: We Need To Be Proud To Carry The Holy Bible To Church Or Any Gospel Meetings.

Malachi 1:6. "A son honors his father, And a servant his master, if then I am the Father, where is my honor? And if I am your Master, Where is My reverence? says the Lord of hosts." To you priests who despise my name, yet you say, 'In what way have we despised your name?'

When we walk for an interview how we go? When we are on our work in our office, if our Charman & Managing Director, C&MD comes to see as what we are doing, how will we respond? Would we give our undivided attention or be casual? If we are casual in not being attentive to what he tells us, it is as good as, that day be the farewell day in the office for us.

But, then, when it comes to the one being the Creator, who gave His life for us, how much more attention and reverence we need to give Him?

The one who loves the Creator dearly can be clearly identified by the world. The more We Love the Lord, the more we show to the World that we are Christians by our outward acts too!

Opinions of individuals I respect. But, well, in my opinion, I too feel, carrying a Holy Bible to the church is the blessed thing even though I have the Bible in my mobile. We need to be proud to carry the Bible. Secondly, we are not shy to carry the Bible. Holy Bible contains Holy things. Mobile too contains Holy things in addition to other things which might disturb us. Let us listen once again to the familiar video by a servant of God and be blessed!
