We all, at the basic level, want to rule something. However, trying to rule without relationship with God, we rule terribly. Pastor Austin takes us through the story of Nebekenezer, a king who tried to rule with his own power and set up his own kingdom. Maybe you are a 90s kid and you think of Rach, Shack, and Benny? Maybe the Bunny Song, too? 🤓 But God had a better King coming to earth to save the whole world. […]

Pastor Jacob has gotten to the point where Israel has become a nation. He shows us the “honeymoon” phase of the marriage between Israel and God— and it doesn’t last terribly long. Israel complains, they whine, and they are just simply ungrateful. They get a taste of what God’s goodness means and they realize pretty quick that His goodness is a bit TOO good for them. That’s why we have to go through the whole story, to find the new […]

Sometimes, we as parents make promises that are conditional like “if you clean your room, we can go get chicken nuggets at McDonalds”, which bases the promise upon the child’s behavior instead of our character. But God does not do that in the New Covenant. He keeps His promise because of His character, in spite of our behavior. Pastor Duane shows us how the old covenant faded away and what the new covenant means for us.

Humans make the worst decisions; they just do when separated from God. If humans were left alone to decide good from evil, we would end up with evil every time. Pastor Jacob tells us the part pf the story that reminds us just how terrible humans are. We call some people in the Bible “heroes”, but they were great like a couple of times. The story of Abraham reminds us that God WANTS to work WITH us and we are […]

Yes, God divorced Israel, but Pastor Duane is great at telling the story of why and how that was a part of creating a better covenant! Pastor Duane even talks about how he got in trouble with a group of people when he said there are things God cannot do, like break a promise. We certainly trust people who are good at keeping promises, but God is perfect at it! We can trust Him with everything!

A lot of us grew up with an approach to the Bible as simply a manual or rule book, but it is so much more than that. It is a story that leads us to Jesus! Pastor Jacob brings out the white board in this series, so he’s serious about this! 😏 Going back to the beginning of Creation, Pastor Jacob takes us through the story that leads to Jesus, the story that includes you!

“One Thing” | Pastor Landon Heinen We were not created to try and focus on multiple things at once, because it’s not possible. Focus can only be singular. Pastor Landon reminds us to keep our focus on the Kingdom and the rest will be added to us. We don’t have to make things happen, God works through our trust, obedience, and focus on Him. Pastor Landon also reminded us that idols aren’t just things that are wrong. He even talks […]

“Build the House” | Pastor Austin Hix We tend to try and build on the certainty of our finances or circumstances, but it’s time to build from faith on the certainty of Jesus. Pastor Austin uses his own experiences to show us what acting on faith looks like, even with building a house. Maybe finances are there, maybe the land is there, but until we hear God say “build it”, it won’t be time to build. Hebrews 3:4 says, “For […]

“Comfort of Commission” | Pastor Zach Backues The time of living at the level of a convert or spectator is over. Pastor Zach reminds us this is not a time to be comfortable, but to stay on mission because we are commissioned by Jesus to go into all the world making disciples. If you are ready to be challenged about a love of being comfortable, you might want to sit in a comfy chair for this, because it will be […]
