The Hague, The Netherlands. We staan hier op het strand van Scheveningen, in de buurt van Den Haag. Hier ergens voor de kust was de Poolse veroveraar Krzysztof Arciszewski de eerste Pool die een wandeling maakte op de bodem van de zee.

The Hague, The Netherlands. We’re standing on the beach at Scheveningen, the beach right next to the city of The Hague. Somewhere off the coast, around here, the Polish conquistador, Krzysztof Arciszewski, was the first Pole to go for a stroll on the bottom of the sea.

Recife, Brazil. O Forte do Brum, onde estamos agora, começou a ser construído pelos portugueses em 1629. No início da construção, chamava-se Forte Diego Paes e tinha como objetivo reforçar a segurança do porto do Recife contra possíveis invasões.

Recife, Brazil. In 1629 begonnen de Portugezen met de bouw van Fort Brum, waar we nu voor staan. Toen heette het Forte Diego Paes, en het doel van het fort was om de haven van Recife beter te beveiligen tegen mogelijke invasies.

Recife, Brazil. The Brum Fort, where we are now, was begun by the Portuguese in 1629. At the start of construction, it was called Forte Diego Paes and its purpose was to reinforce the security of the port of Recife against possible invasions.
