Do you find it easy to lean on God when you're going through it? What happens when you believe you've followed Christ as best as you can but bad things keep happening to you?!

In Psalms, we see quite a bit of lamenting from the various writers, specifically King David, but he somehow often ends this lamenting with praise. God hears our laments, but the psalms teach us an important lesson - your trials should never overtake your adoration, worship and praise to your Creator!

Today's lesson is 'Seeking the Multitudes'

Despite challenges, external and internal, Jesus graciously extends the call to us for His mission to the cities.

Jesus was moved with compassion for the multitudes, such as are found in cities. Luke 19:41 describes how Jesus wept over Jerusalem. We may not understand the depths of Jesus’ love for His children, even for the “faceless masses” living in cities. This is why in Matthew 9:38 Jesus tells us to pray, so that our motives and hearts can be like His.

Jesus leads His disciples on a field trip into the borders of foreign regions so that they can learn, on location, what they could not learn so easily in Galilee. He wanted to teach His disciples lessons that would help prepare them for their calling to reach all people groups, including urbanites.

All heaven is interested in the work of saving the lost. Angels watch with intense interest to see who will leave the ninety and nine and go out in tempest and storm and rain into the wild desert to seek the lost sheep. The lost are all around us, perishing and sadly neglected. But they are of value to God, the purchase of the blood of Christ.
