Sometimes the Beltway lingo collapses under the weight of its own idiocy. Yesterday was such a day when Congressman Michael Waltz asked USAID Director Samantha Powers if U.S. money was going to terrorists in Afghanistan. The Director reframed his "yes or no" question into "Congressman, I think you are asking for more visibility into the granularity' of U.N. controls on American aid dollars."
