The entire town of Channel-Port aux Basques from the council to the school board to the local hotel has come together to help children with autism. Their efforts have certainly paid off. ”Today's Parent Magazine” has just designated the town as the most Autism-friendly town in Canada .
Much of the success in making the town a friendlier place is being credited to Joan Chiasson . She’s a Consultant for Parents of Children with Autism and one of the founders of the Autism Involves Me, or AIM Committee.
