June was perhaps the most exciting month for popular musick in 2017. We received a new album from Katy Perry + her 96-hour livestream, the momentous One Love Manchester concert in response to Islamic State's attack on an Ariana Grande Concert, and also the supplanting of Electropop by Trop-pop as the paradigm of the moment. Currently, we are in a transitional period, where many releases retain elements of both. It will be very interesting to see how this develops because Electropop had been ascendant since the time of the onset of the 'Great Recession.' I can't imagine tropical will still be 'a thing' in 10 years time, but who knows? We also have some folky pop, some rocky pop, and one Hip-Hop and ChillNB cut each, live performances, unreleased musick, as well as independent releases. Niall, Noah, Demi, Iggy, Liana Banks, bea miller, Ariana, and Miley all feature!

1) On The Loose (Live) - Niall Horan - Pop - Unreleased

2)I’m Stuck - Noah Cyrus - Folk-Pop - RECORDS

3)Instruction - Jax Jones - Trop-Pop - Polydor (Vivendi)

4)Switch - Iggy Azalea - Trop-Pop - Def Jam (Vivendi)

5)Roulette - Katy Perry - Electropop - Capitol (Vivendi)

6)buy me diamonds - Bea Miller - Pop - Hollywood (Disney)

7)People Like Me - Liana Banks - Trop-Pop - Rebirth/MARCH

8)Loose Wrists - Cazwell - Hip-Hop - SNOWCONE

9)Teenage Fantasy - Jorja Smith - Chill’NB - FAMM

In 2009, CNBC aired a documentary which was surprisingly successful, spawned a DVD release, and continued to be re-run for more than 6 years. This programme was "Porn: The Business Of Pleasure." This audio programme is a commentary on "The Business Of Pleasure" written in 2014, while the documentary was still being repeated on television. 2009 was a pivotal and interesting year to be making a documentary about pornography for various reasons, and I talk about some of these , not least the world-wide economic depression that began just months before this documentary was released.

For the moment, at least, you can view a promotional clip from CNBC's Youtube channel here -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Za4ZodA4EVc

CK Brooke released "The Duchess Quest" 4 years ago. Since then, so much has changed for her, 'I have completely grown as an author since then,' she says. After releasing a slew of novels, novellas, and spin-offs, and then starting her own literature imprint releasing others' work....CK Brooke is returning back to where she began. Well, not exactly ('And We Are *cough*cough.)

With the re-release of "The Duchess Quest" she is also re-focusing for a Young Adult market, which she says is what this book was meant to be in the first place. The prospects for this young author are only increasing. Will you take the (romantic) journey with her?

Since our last programme, Katy Perry has continued with her new album campaign -- yielding two wonderful singles. Noah Cyrus released her second single, the teen-pop anthem "Stay Together", and older sister Miley Cyrus sings her new image-cementing "Malibu" live with extra runs in the middle 8. It's a super pop-&-dance edition of Best New Musick, as it seemed great pop was coming out every day! Bask in the fun! And take a moment to remember those affected by the Ariana Grande Concert Terrorist Attack this past month. The people they targeted were us -- pop fans. And we will remain united in our denouncement of the targeting of children and families in the name of religion. Nobody should have to go to a concert and wonder never return home. This episode is in honour of those who have died in that attack.

I want to also note that I received notice that because of an episode I did last December, for 'copyright infringement', I have received my 2nd of 3 strikes. It is risky posting this wonderful, chock-block episode of great pop, but we may as well go out with a bang! I've never let 'rules' stop me before-- and that is what 'Revolution' is all about. Long Live! & Remember, as I always say soundcloud, go support your artists!!

Editorial From Voice Of the Revolution. 2014.

Note: In the original text, I mis-identified Representative King as coming from the state of Illinois. He is from Iowa. I apologize for the mistake.

Representative Steve King claims to be the 'voice and the will of the people'; Slams immigration from Latin American countries. As an advocate of 'free-market principle' Representative King should know that the Mexican drug-trade is the perfekt exemplar of these. And that is why people are streaming over the border -- to escape the 'free market'

On the long-in-the-making first installment of the Communist Roundtable's series on the "enigmatic" Democratic People's Republic of Korea, also known as North Korea, I probe Rinita and Luke's previous knowledge on DPRK. What do two America-based, highly-educated people 'know' about North Korea? Where they every taught about it in school? What is being taught about it in school now?

Luke, a current educator, provides us with a propaganda text that the American state utilizes today, to provide information about Korea. And Rinita, a native of Bengal, shares her unique insight into DPRK and Communism, and how North Korea is really just generally not talked about at all. This is in contrast to USA, where North Korea is generally always a 'hot topic'.

After finding out what these two intellectuals bring to the table regarding prior knowledge, we proceed with excerpts from leader Kim Il-Sung's memoirs, detailing his heroic childhood and improbable journey from Manchuria to Pyongyang at the age of 11

Groups Cherish and TLC are back, as well as newer R&B diva Kayla Brianna continuing her run of singles. And we will finish with our Best Song of the month from rapper 3d Na’tee. The recorded musick industry continues to change rapidly and with haste, as every song featured in today’s show is from an independent label or a self-released project. Group Cherish are one of countless R&B artists/groups that fell through the cracks in the major label system, and a decade after their last hit they are back, in a reformulated set-up. They are preceded by new artist, the British black barbie Camilla Destiny, with a love-anthem toward the Sunset Strip in California. After them is an artist who first attracted attention in 2015 with her release “Honest,” Kayla Brianna, who has been serving at least one great single a year. 90's nostalgia is undeniably running high, so the two living members of TLC have certainly picked the right time to come back with a solo single, after a hugely successful 'go fund me' campaign. We finish up with 3d Na'tee, the winner of last year's Jakob Musick Music Awards' Best Song of 2016 award. Will her songs from this year be just as amazing? Well our last ('Mr. Jason') is certainly a story. Thank you for listening to Best New Musick, and if you like what you hear, go stream/purchase these songs! The artists will appreciate it! See you next month!

For those looking for an 'end' to the infamous anti-human text known as the Tanakh ,you will be disappointed. The title is a reference to the fact that, after a year and 4 months (as we determine) we are finally done with the 'Old Testament' portion of the Women In The Abrahamic Tradition series. Now, we only have about 3,000 more years to go!!! I assure you we will be to Bah'ai & Mormonism by the next decade!

In this quite goofy and strange episode (due to 'technical difficulties') we explore the books of Job and the 'Song of Songs', which is billed today by apologists as 'The Christian Sex Book'. Safiya reads from the text, and we are both, well, absolutely stunned. "The person who wrote this hasn't gone anywhere near sex," I conclude. We look at Job, the potentialities of its' use as a political polemic, comment on the Hellenistic style, and also evaluate the various world-views that were developing at the time that were expressed in Job. We go through individual verses of 'Song of Songs' and struggle to understand and interpret what exactly the plight of the woman who was characterized as having the neck of 'a pillar on which hangs a thousand shields'.

PS Job is one of the most neurotic reverse-narcissistic depressing 'sad sacks' that I have ever had the privilege of hearing about

Onto the New Testament next! Will women be more developed, louder, more consequential and poweful in the next 500 years?

My life in Jacksonville continues as I descend into episodes I would rather forget-- getting told that I might be evicted, moving (again), living in filth, living in a flea infestation, getting sick with what I thought was Lyme Disease, and then the hope of making a close friend in my roommate.

It was just a year ago...but the sensations are still so real. Listen as I reveal my life a year ago to you, along with the musick I was listening to at the time. Some days this musick was all I felt I had to keep me going.....
