On this episode, the roundtable will continue to analyze the events that are collectively known as the ‘Feb. Revolution.’ Joining me are podcast host Luke Ford and feminist Academic Rinita Mazumdar. We analyze the remarkable fact that within a relatively short period the Empire crumbled, and also talk about the historically unusual 'Dual-Power' period, which in Soviet Historiography is known as the 'Bourgeois Epoch', which is what followed the Russian Empire. Doctor Mazumdar also diagnoses Nicholas II & Luke gives us breaking, exclusive information about his podcast!

March saw a lot of great songs reach their peak, and a few new ones caught me by surprise toward the end of the month. Danielle Bregoli's infamous appearance on Dr. Phil (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNe8bDJda0A) which has reached 25 million views (and that is only on the Official channel) spawns two songs on this edition of BNM, we hear Katy Perry' international smash, and Remy Ma's already-legendary 7-minute takedown of Nicki Minaj. Add to that some great new world musick, and my choice of best song Candice Boyd's "Make Me Over" and we have one heck of a show for you!

Tracklist:

1. Brave - CK Brooke - Pop - Unreleased

2. Cash Me Outside Official - Zee The Trigger - Hip-Hop - Self-Released

3. Chained To The Rhythm - Katy Perry + Skip Marley - Pop - Capitol (Vivendi)

4. Shether - Remy Ma - Hip-Hop - EMPIRE

5. Cash Me Outside (Jersey Club Remix) - Rich That Kid & Danielle Bregoli - Electronic/Dance - Unreleased

On International Women's Day 1917, what is known today as The Feb. Revolution began,a process that would result in the end of the Russian Empire, which had been extant for hundreds of years. Lagging far behind his European allies, the Romanov emperor had been able to hold onto the ancien polity as long as he possibly could, barely conceeding to supportive Liberals and reformers. As a result of his actions (and lack thereof) almost all the population had lost hope in the Tsar by 1917 and the Russian Empire was no more.

In this episode, Professor Rinita Mazumdar & philosopher Luke Ford join me in discussing the background of the Feb. Revolution-- What where the weaknesses in the Russian Empire? How could autocracy exist there for so long? Could the Tsar have avoided being deposed somehow? And what role does Feb. play in what lay ahead-- the rule of the Bolsheviks?

I present you to a programme in three parts -- 2 vintage Public Service Announcements about the dangers of narcotics and addiction....and then a discussion centering on a different kind of addiction. The American Empire and its continued regime change operations around the world. "The West needs to stop supporting terrorists" author Mark Taliano boldly asserts. He has written "Voices From Syria" an e-book published by NGO The Centre For Research On Globalization. I interview him in the 2nd segment, and he reveals what his trip to Syria was like, why the Western media narrative is wrong, and tells the story of Syrians who too-often don't get their voices heard.

You can purchase the book here https://store.globalresearch.ca/store/voices-from-syria-pdf/ (it's only $5 USD and comes to you instantly in .pdf format)

It's learning........on the Radio! ok, not *really* the radio but maybe you can download the.mp3 and play it on an iphone and attach a cable to the......oh never mind

In 1918, a swift succession of events brought the Bolshevik faction of the Russian Social Democratic Party to power in the former areas of the Russian Empire. What developed in the ensuing years under Lenin & Stalin was the development of what we now refer to as ‘soviet-style socialism’-- the state & the party as separate entities, with the party leading the state, government, & all associations from the top-down with instruction & democratic participation on local levels, but a bureaucracy mostly isolated from democratic controls. By the 1930’s, this bureaucracy was referred to as a ‘caste’ by some critics, for the privileges bureaucrats and their families enjoyed, the special shops they had access to, the wealth they enjoyed, & their overall seeming impunity. Was the Soviet model an effective manner of striving toward Communism? Or did its’ defects hinder the struggle of building socialism?

More questions -- Is State Socialism still a valid method of achieving Communism? Should we follow the Soviet model, but just implement it better? Could State Socialism in a wealthier country achieve Communism more effectively? Could the Soviet Union have produced Communism if simply given more time?

In this roundtable, Author & Feminist Rinita Mazumdar & I discuss these foundation questions for socialist revolutionaries.
