7/1 Jenny Tracy with the Steele Memorial Medical Center discusses firework safety in preparation for Independence Day weekend. 

Cheryl Baker from Clayton, Idaho talks about their Fourth of July celebration.

The Clayton parade will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 4th. There will also be a barbeque from 2 pm. to 4 p.m. that afternoon. At 3 p.m. the museum will host an ice cream social at the museum. At 6 p.m. there will be a celebration with music in the Buffalo Ridge Saloon.

6/30 Tami Bailey with the Greater Chamber of Commerce discusses Salmon River Days. 

The parade in Salmon will be held Friday, July 3rd, at 11 a.m. Come down and support the city and parade participants to celebrate Independence Day!

6/29 Dave Earl with the Eagles discusses their Salmon River Days events. The first event is their free music festival July 1st and 2nd from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. There will be a bounce house and play area for any kids who would like to attend the free musical festival with their families in the mornings. 

On July 4th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Lemhi County Fairgrounds, there will be the annual demolition derby. There will be many participants and additional classes.

6/26 Chuck Mark with the Forest Service discusses the extension of free-use collection of firewood for the rest of the 2020 calendar year. There will be a free-use permit required.

Diane Earl with the Hospice of Salmon Valley tells listeners that they will not be having their annual breakfast this year.

The Hospice ice cream wagon will be open from Wednesday, July 1st through Sunday, July 5th. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. except for on Friday when they will open after the parade.

6/25 Chris Born with the Salmon School District announces the rescheduling of the Kindergarten Round-Up to July 9th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again on July 13th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The school district also invites parents to fill out their online survey in hopes to recover a loss of education time.

Jennifer Smith and Bob Russell with the Lemhi Land Trust discuss their online auction event and Sacagewea Center picnic on June 26th.

6/24 Jenny Tracy with the Steele Memorial Medical Center gives her weekly health updates. There have not been any new positive cases of COVID-19 in the last two weeks.

The Steele Memorial Medical Center will continue to update their Facebook page with COVID-19 updates and news.

6/14 Jenny Tracy with the Steele Memorial Medical Center gives the weekly update. Tracy says that there it will take months of observation to see what the trends of COVID-19 are. Tracy also reminds listeners to take advantage of delivery and pick-up options if possible.

Ron Adams with American Legion discusses American Legion updated. American Legion was able to put American flags up for Memorial Day at the burial sites of veterans. On the 28th of June will be an American Legion breakfast.

Jenny Tracy with the Steele Memorial Medical Center announces a $100 donation from SMMC for the Salmon River Days fireworks show. 

Tracy also discusses the second positive case of COVID-19 in Lemhi County. The infected patient was not in our district (District 7) when they were tested positive. 

The Salmon Valley Chamber of Commerce also hosts our phone-a-thon to raise money for the Salmon River Days fireworks show.
