The Lemhi Regional Land Trust will host a socially distanced picnic on Friday, June 26th at 5:30 p.m. at the Sacagewea Center's Ranch Lawn.

If you would like to reserve a table, call the Land Trust office at 208-756-8879. You can also have a picnic. There will be a delicious dinner served.

6/5 Jessica McAleese with the Lemhi County Farmers Market tells listeners that the Lemhi County Farmers Market is opening Saturday, June 6th, and will continue to be open every Saturday through September. It is open from 9-2. She asks that everyone who visits the farmers market wears a cloth mask, practices social distancing, and makes sure they aren't feeling sick. 

Chuck Marks with the Forest Service discusses reopenings. Recreation sites are opening in alignment with the governer's reopening phases.

6/4 Fred Snook reads the results from the West Jefferson high school rodeo on May 29th and 30th. 

Snook also reads about the earlier sports days in Lemhi county.

6/3 Pam Martinez and Johnna Phillips with The Mahoney House talk about their summer kickoff event on Friday, June 5th from 12-2 on Friday at The Mahoney House. The Mahoney House will be popping kettle corn and giving it away to anyone, especially kids in the community, who wants to stop by. 

Jenny Tracy gives the weekly Coronavirus update. In Idaho and nationwide there has been a steady increase in Coronavirus cases. However, Lemhi County has not had any new cases since April.

6/2 Nick and Rachel Alvarado discuss Coffee for a Cause. Coffee for a Cause is a great way to give back to the community. The first Tuesday of every month in the summer is Coffee for a Cause. 20% of the proceeds from that day will go to a specific organization. That organization will also have a booth set up at Rise and Shine. 

This month, Rise and Shine is joining forces with the Mahoney House, a domestic violence crisis center. Stop by Rise and Shine to support them and the Mahoney House!

Bob Enderton with the Salmon Eagles discusses the Demolition Derby. The Demolition Derby will be held as usual on July 4th, the first Saturday in July. The Demolition Derby will start at 6 p.m.

Madicyn Peterson and Tamryn Seybold with the SJSHS class of 2020 discuss graduation. On June 5th, there will be a gift drop off from 1-3 p.m. at Railroad Park. Only those with tickets can attend the 2020 SJSHS graduation June 5th. There will be a public parade on Friday, June 5th at 7:45 on Main Street.

5/28 The golf course and restaurant are now both operating. There will be tournaments and leagues this summer at the golf course.  

Local medalists of the Challis high school rodeo on May 22 and 23 are read. Finalized dates for the rodeo state finals will be decided within a week.

Jonathon Simmons has been awarded the 3A/2A high school boys' athlete of the year.

5/27 Jenny Tracy gives the weekly Steele Memorial Medical Center COVID-19 update. There are 113 negative test results and 1 positive test result (the same case from April). 

Then, Tracy also talks about skin cancer and how to detect it. 

Tracy also discusses the golf scramble which will be held on June 13th. 12 team openings are available.

5/22 Suzy Avey from the Sacajawea Center discusses the Sacajawea Center Interpretive Center opening schedule and Father's Day Shoot. The Interpretive Center will open on June 1st by appointment only. Please call the Sacajawea Center to create an appointment. If by June 15th they are ready, the Sacajawea Center Interpretive Center will open with fewer restrictions. Additionally, the Father's Day shoot has been canceled.
