Voices Radio

For the last hour, you’ve been listening to the sounds of Babylon Fox with Based on Taste, a show that moves beyond just music, weaving together selection, culture, fashion, and food into one immersive listening experience.

Each episode takes you on a thoughtful journey through sound, with carefully curated selections paired alongside culinary moments, exploring how taste, texture, and rhythm can exist side by side. It’s about creating an atmosphere where music isn’t just heard, but experienced, enhanced by the flavours and treats that accompany the session.

A beautiful concept that invites you to slow down, listen deeply, and enjoy the full sensory journey

Live on Voices, you’re currently listening to the sounds of Tom and Asha with Go Bang! a show that dives deep into a shared collection of musical loves from across the spectrum.

Joining Tom in the studio once again, Asha brings selections for a Trip-Hop and 90s House special, with hints of Breakbeat and, of course, the all-important Madonna.

This month, Charlie Croft raids the record collection her Dad recently gave her. From well-worn classics to forgotten treasures, she spins some of the records that soundtracked her childhood alongside a few new discoveries.

A time dilating brain massage with all sorts of ambient, downtempo, chillout and other musical oddities to start your day.

Strictly on a downtempo/breaks trip this month - cruising along at 105bpm

This month’s Eras of Sound explores UK bass, breaks and electro in the 2020s. Heavier, faster and darker than some of my more recent mixes and definitely one that’ll get you wanting to find an intimate dark club with a good sound system this weekend.

With tunes from Aloka, Breaka, Prozak, Blumitsu, Fonzo and more this one is guaranteed to get you going. Lock in & enjoy xo

This month Toraigh has set herself the task of bringing feminine energy into the mix, partly because of international women’s day, but also because some of her favourite music is produced by incredible FLINTA producers or uses samples of femme vocals and she felt like this deserved a dedicated mix. Covering a range of electronic genres, she’ll take her through an hour of gorgeous femme energy.

A journey through spherical, deep sound and groove, shaped by ambient techno, dubby vibe and techno influences. Made for listening in the background, in nature, or wherever you find yourself, letting yourself be carried and inspired. As always, I love beginning with a long, quiet intro that draws you in slowly.
