Text of the Day: For the days are coming when they will say, ‘Fortunate indeed are the women who are childless, the wombs that have not borne a child and the breasts that have never nursed. (Luke 23:29)

Reflection Questions:

1 — Do these words sound harsh to you? What state of mind do you think Jesus was in when he uttered these words?

2 —It was mentioned that these were not really words of repentance, but why do you think Jesus didn’t give that opportunity? Was there enough time? Did he know their hearts? Muse on this a bit.

3 —If you are new to following Jesus, you are beginning to see how human he really was. Remember, Jesus was fully human, but also fully divine. How do you think those things work together in one person?
