Tracey Gatling stops by WAGM Studio. Tracey Gatling son (Bruce Boone) was involved in the murder and robbery of Darren Lee 28 of Franklin, Va. "Lil Bruce" was sentenced to 18 years in prison for his role in this crime. He now has been in prison for the last 12 years. Tracey spoke from the "other side" as a mother who son was involved in gun violence leading to the death of someone. While her son was involved she feels sorry for what the young man family may be going through. She also states that "her son feels remorseful" for what happened. Tracey feels that if the mother of Lee wanted to talk with her that she is open to it and would let her speak whatever she wanted to her. Often times we hear from the victims family and friends meanwhile; the offender has family and friends as well who care about them. Both families are hurt, filled with anger, frustration and etc. when something like this happens and hopefully from this episode people will gain a level of understanding for both sides. HURT is HURT and we are empathic to these issues as well as praying for healing for EVERYONE.

Gam and Juan sit down and to have a conversation about being “Fatherless”. While both of them grew up in the same household, they both remember different things and of course their feelings of expression may differ. Gam is the oldest of the two and Juan is married with two boys. Juan states that “he forgive his father about five years ago and you can’t make someone be something they don’t want to be”. Gam feels that before “they can start a relationship that her father must apologize and they can move forward to try and build a relationship”. Juan is more reserved and thinks on the perspective from a logical standpoint however; Gam is more emotional and feels some type. Juan does state that “he wish has father at least has a relationship with his boys but that has yet to happen as he oldest is 15”. Juan also felt that because his father wasn’t in his life is the reason why he knew that he wanted different for his kids. They both continue to express the feelings about this issue as it is very common around the world. This episode was definitely a tearjerker, authentic, from the heart….

Chanda Madison Wise a mother of 4 children from the ages of 6-13 and is also a former early childhood educator. Although she is married and her husband is incarcerated she also is known as a “prison wife”. Chanda does “Parent Coaching” which she helps motivate, create a plan of action, that helps them become a better parent. She loves working with kids while gaining a rapport with the parents. She believes that a if parent takes away something from the kid that they like or enjoy for a short period of time can be effective. While you may have to parent each child different as well as adjust your plan of action to get the best results. “Breathe, smell the flowers and blow out the candles” is a theory she uses to first have everyone calm down prior to addressing an issue. She also believes that yelling and hitting your kids has a better alternative to get the kids to obey. Chanda….

Chamela Kemp stops by Wait A Gam Minute Studio. Chamela is the owner of “ Pieces of Me” where she does custom painting, murals and paint sip events. She started painting when her mother challenged her to recreate an painting she saw. After creating this painting she began to paint even more. Chamela express her self through her painting. She believes that networking helps with your communication and getting your brand out there. She states that she doesn’t paint when she is stressed as energy travels. General Mike Pain leader of The Original Black Panther Party is a organization that " want full liberation of our people, we love our community and believe in uplifting our communities". They are not a hate group but at the same time they work hand in hand with the community and children.  There are several Black Panthers Groups and while their laws are different as to how they perform their duties.  This organization believes in self defense at all cost. General Mike Pain and his organization traveled to Brunswick, Georgia to Ahmaud Arbery trial to help out with protecting and escorting Ahmaud Arbery mother.  General Mike Pain also....

Trevor Lucas stops by Wait A Gam Minute Podcast. He is the owner of Anomaly Art Studio who creates murals and uses his artistic skills to also illustrate children books for authors. Trevor is very passionate about what others listen and how we are easy influenced. Growing up he used art as a getaway from what was going on around him. Trevor discovered that he was colorblind upon going into the military. He started out with putting different art on clothes and after several years he later began to do paintings. He always had a drive to show you that he can do whatever he put his mind to. Trevor states that “he always felt that something greater was in him”….

Derecus A. Conerly, of Mississippi went missing on June 25, 2021 after leaving home about 9:30pm. A couple of hours went pass and Derecus girlfriend called and text him but there was no response. She than called his mother (Yolanda Conutee Lewis) to see had she heard from him. Yolanda became concerned as she also reached out to him however; there was still no response. About 3 hours later his family and began to look for him as well as file a missing person report. Yolanda took to Facebook to post a plea to public and ask if anyone had seen her son to please let the family know. She was contacted via text by “Lead Investigator” (as he stated) Brian Miller from Pike County Police Department and informed her that he was over her son case and asked her for information as well as he also shared information with her. Throughout the weekend family and friends continued to search for Derecus and his mother stated that “it’s like him not to answer his phone but he would reply back via text always”. The family were able to ping his cellphone and they went to several locations to check them out. Upon arriving at a a country store they managed to talk with the owners in which they were shown the store video according to the time his phone put him there. Derecus was not seen on camera however the “Lead Investigator “ Mullins was. Sunday evening the same “Lead Investigator” Mullins called the mother and stated they have a body and can she come to the location. Upon arriving to the location which is a locked Police Shooting Range where she was informed that her son was shoot three times and burned beyond recognition(per Sheriff Department)he was found outside of the car he was driving. The family demanded answers and to find out that “Lead Investigator” Mullins is not affiliated with the department however; he is affiliated with another department(the next county)but not as an officer. The family at this point are confused, angry, upset as to what is going on. When Derecus father asked Mullins why he didn’t give the information that was given to him to the police and he replied “ he don’t know he didn't". There are so many twists and turns in this case and the family believes that there seems to be police involvement as well as cover ups…..

 "My Miche’ “ Linda Alston stops by Wait A Gam Minute Studio to talk about her daughter Miche’ who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called 
Epithelioid Sarcoma(soft tissue cancer)at the tender age of 16. While playing basketball outside barefoot a piece of glass lodge in her toe. After being misdiagnosed several times she was later informed that she has Epithelioid Sarcoma and 5-7 year life expectancy. No matter the doctor’s report Miche’ and her family kept their faith in God. Linda stated that “Miche’ knew without a doubt what and who God was to her and she never carried doubt when it came to her situation. While going through her treatments, doctor’s appointments and etc. she graduated from VSU. Miche’ later (2013)became pregnant and felt that her daughter was “God’s miracle and her blessing”. This rare form of cancer had no treatment plan as well as it was a terminal cancer. Linda stated that “she went to God all the time to let her take that burden for her daughter”. Because of Miche’ strength and the way she carried it that Linda was able to be her daughter backbone for her. Miche’…..Tune in, like comment and share

Sunshine stops by Wait A Gam Minute Studio. Sunshine was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and she became a teenage mother while in the 11th grade. After high school she went on to graduate from Norfolk State University received her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, two Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and hold a Doctoral Degree. This serial entrepreneur owns several businesses and has learned so much from her business partnerships relationships. Sunshine stats that “over the years the blessings have come out of no where, I don’t even respond to stuff anymore”. 2015 she started her first business known as Fit Bar. Being an entrepreneur isn’t easy but you have to know your vision and stay focused.
