April 10, 2026 — Today is National Siblings Day, which feels like one of those relationships that doesn’t come with instructions, but somehow works anyway.
Today we’re looking at a few moments where systems—whether physical, narrative, or cultural—don’t behave the way people expect them to.
First, the Titanic setting sail in 1912, built with safety in mind, but shaped by assumptions that wouldn’t hold.
Then, the publication of The Great Gatsby in 1925, a story that grew into something larger over time.
And finally, the breakup of The Beatles in 1970, marking the end of something that had defined an era.
Plus, a quick look at Joseph Pulitzer, who helped shape how information is shared and understood.
Different moments. Different outcomes. But each one shows how systems can fail, grow, or simply come to an end.
Anyway… those are a few of the things I ended up discovering while wandering through April 10.
