What We're Covering:
- Why we choose careers too early based on society's programming
- How being stuck in wrong careers creates insane stress and high cortisol
- Why having kids isn't an excuse to not pivot (it just takes longer)
- My story: pivoting from algorithm coaching to abundance coaching at the peak
- The feeling of "everyone's waiting for 5pm, waiting for weekends, waiting for life to start"
- Why you don't have to quit right now - start building on the side
Your Empowerment Tools:
✨ Permission First: Give yourself permission to want something more, something different, to change careers, to pivot
✨ Timeline Reality: Single person = 1-2 year plan. Parent = 5 year exit plan. Both are valid as long as you're making moves
✨ Side Hustle Start: Pursue something on the side, build slowly, give yourself another purpose beyond your career
✨ Risk Mindset: You can always go to Plan B (going back) but honestly, life opens opportunities when you take risks - you'll never need Plan B
Key Reframe: Careers are huge for overflow - financial stability, purpose, fulfillment. But we choose them too early when society programmed us into specific trajectories before we knew what we liked. Then you're paying rent/mortgage, feeling stuck with bad bosses and projects you hate, constantly stressed.
Personal Story - Part 1: I pivoted my business when it was at peak trajectory - would've been multi-six figure before 32. But I felt stuck talking about algorithms. It was sucking my soul out, reminding me of post-college 9-5 where everyone waited for 5pm and weekends. I thought "I don't want to wait for my life to start."
Personal Story - Part 2: Recent pivot was harder - I had things tying me down, had to think things through, needed an exit plan (not the best, but it was one). I had different jobs while building this new career - teaching mindfulness, life design, manifestation, abundance, soul-level integration. Took 3 years to get here. Not exactly where I want to be yet, but grateful I made moves.
Truth Bomb: Don't use kids as an excuse to not pursue different careers - you're teaching them their desires aren't worthy of pursuing. Show them YOU'RE worth pursuing dreams even if it takes longer. Your career takes up most of your life - might as well do something you love or at least a side portion that lights you up.
Day 23 Challenge: Journal prompt from workbook: "What's one small step I could take to have a more fulfilling work life?"
Imagine if you pursued it. Imagine things got better. You got to live your dreams. At least you went for it.
