Vernon talks with Mike Quarles, author of a number of books including "Freedom From Addiction", "Helping Others Overcoming Addiction", "One Day At A Time", and more. Mike shares about the problem of addiction and what is necessary for a person to experience their freedom in Christ.

Vernon and Michelle talk through 1 Corinthians 6:12-20 and touch on eating, sex, and the incredible spiritual union we have in Christ. We also discuss some often misunderstood topics including the question some may ask, "can the believer do whatever they want?"

Vernon takes us through 1 Corinthians 5 where Paul had to make the hard call regarding an issue in the "assembly" of believers. There was a pretty obvious issue that was affecting the whole assembly but no one was taking any steps to correct it. Perhaps there is a hard call you need to make? Ask the Father for His wisdom and then make the call with "sincerity and truth".

After challenging the folks at Corinth, Paul reminds them in 1 Corinthians 4 he is a regular guy who is working hard, has no real place to call home, and he feels like others see him as the scum of the earth! How can that be "blessed?" He also tells them to imitate him, but not his financial or career prowess, but his "ways in Christ." 

Vernon challenges us in 1 Corinthians 3 to understand and choose carefully how we are building on the foundation of Christ. What materials are you using to build? The fire is coming and it will test the quality of your work, and that is a good thing!
