  • 21.04.14 Pentecost — Acts 2:1-12
We all love a gathering for celebration, don’t we? Every nation has specific holidays which celebrate its heritage. For the Jewish people, God designed three great annual festivals and God urged that at least some from every family would come to Jerusalem, from wherever they lived, for these week-long celebrations, if at all possible. It was like a huge ‘family reunion’ each time they came. Can you see it… huge migrations of people coming from all directions to Jerusalem for these festivals. (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/wednesday-14-april-2021-pentecost/  Today’s Scripture is Acts 2:1-12. Choose below to read or listen.Pastor Doug Anderson    262.441.8785  “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, with our eyes fixed on Jesus…” (Heb. 12:1,2)Have a comment or question about today’s chapter? I’m ready to hear from you, contact me here.

  • 21.04.12 Ascension — Acts 1:1-14
Over the next 60 days two major things will be happening over and over all around our world. Graduations, as young people complete their studies, receive their diplomas and their commissioning out into the next stage of their lives. Do you remember those graduation moments in your life? Remember the hopes and dreams you had?  And where has your life journey taken you since then? The other major event will be weddings… lots and  lots of weddings around the world. Similar to graduations, these events conclude a time of preparation (dating and engagement), and launch a couple into the new journey of interdependent life together! (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/monday-12-april-2021-ascension/  Today’s Scripture is Acts 1:1-14.

  • 21.04.09 Second Chance — John 21:1-17
Think back for a moment to when you were a child. Perhaps you were playing with several friends and suddenly you heard your mother’s voice calling you. How did you recognize that it was the voice of your mother and what did you do?  My father had a shrill and unusual whistle with which he used to call me all the way up into my teen years. I think I could hear his whistle 1/2 a mile away. I knew that whistle meant ‘come immediately, from wherever you are.’ And I did! I’m in my sixties now, and I can still hear that whistle in my mind. (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/friday-9-april-2021-second-chance/      Today’s Scripture is John 21:1-17.

  • 21.04.08 Podcast A Voice — John 21:1-8
In this week following Easter, I’m inviting us to look at the various times we have recorded in the Gospels that the RESURRECTED Jesus had encounters with the disciples and others. Today, join me please in John 21. This probably occurred about 3 or 4 weeks after Jesus’ resurrection, so you can imagine for these 7 men, Passover/Easter weekend really did seem like it was months ago!  John tells the story this way: “Simon Peter, Thomas, Nathanael, James and John and two other disciples were together. ‘I’m going out to fish’ Peter told them, and they said ‘we’ll go with you.’ So they got into the boat, went out, fished all night, but caught nothing.” (John 21:1-4) (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/thursday-8-april-2021-a-voice/  Today’s Scripture is John 21:1-8.

  • 21.04.07 Resurrection for me — 1 Corinthians 15
Thanks to modern medical procedures, therapies, medications and incredibly talented medical people, amazing things can be done in the face of illness and approaching death in 2021 almost everywhere in the world, right? Modern medicine can delay death, can transplant almost every part of our body, including our heart, and with machines can even keep us ‘alive’ when all normal functions of our body have ceased. But modern medicine cannot bring a person back to life who has been dead several days! There is no course in medical school called ‘resurrection therapies’. (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/wednesday-7-april-2021-resurrection-for-me/     Today’s Scripture is 1 Corinthians 15. Choose below to read or listen. Pastor Doug Anderson    262.441.8785  “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, with our eyes fixed on Jesus…” (Heb. 12:1,2)Have a comment or question about today’s chapter? I’m ready to hear from you, contact me here.
