  • 21.04.06 Make Disciples — Matthew 28
The Book of Psalms in the Bible ends with this phrase: “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.” (Ps. 150:6) As I write this, the birds are beginning their pre-dawn, early morning greetings to each other outside my window. Sometimes I wish I could understand ‘bird language’! This Tuesday, as you and I go through our day let’s LISTEN to anything (or anyone) that ‘has breath’. How much of all that you hear today will ‘praise the LORD’? And what does that tell you about the world in which we live? In the days and weeks following that Easter Passover weekend, I have no doubt that the resurrection of Jesus was a major topic of conversation, rumor and disagreement.(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/tuesday-6-april-2021-make-disciples/  Today’s Scripture is Matthew 28. Choose below to read or listen.Pastor Doug Anderson    262.441.8785  “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, with our eyes fixed on Jesus…” (Heb. 12:1,2)Have a comment or question about today’s chapter? I’m ready to hear from you, contact me here.

  • 21.04.05 Thomas — John 20
Easter 2021 was yesterday, today life resumes some normalcy all around the world, doesn’t it? We rush from one experience to another, from one information download to another. In fact in 2021, our reality is we each have available to us everyday more information than we could possibly process. So, what was it like the Monday after that Passover/Easter with Jesus? Matthew tells us a frantic, resurrection cover-up plan was spreading through Jerusalem in the days and weeks following Easter Sunday. Those who had passionately called for Jesus’ death, were determined to make sure Jesus remained dead, even if they no longer had the proof… His dead body! (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/monday-5-april-2021-thomas/   Today’s Scripture is John 20.

  • 21.04.04 Resurrection — Matthew 28
Good EASTER morning to you my “Walking with Jesus” friends. This day is unlike any other! In every time-zone of the world, Christians will be rising early, many before daybreak, to celebrate the RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ, nearly 2000 years ago.  I have a question… what difference has the resurrection of Jesus made in your life, your family, the communities where you’ve lived in this world? And what if this resurrection claim is a hoax? What would change in your life if the resurrection wasn’t true? As you know friends, each of the four Gospel writers give us a unique perspective on the events of this day…(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/sunday-4-april-2021-resurrection/      Today’s Scripture is Matthew 28.

  • 21.04.03 Dark Saturday — Luke 23
While all of us have had deep disappointments in life, and most of us have endured times of deep and prolonged grief, especially in the death of dear loved ones or friends, NONE of us can truly imagine the despair, the hopelessness, the deep agony of grief that the close friends of Jesus, and perhaps especially His earthly mother Mary, were feeling on Friday and Saturday of what we call Easter weekend. The horrificness of His crucifixion. Their certainty that Jesus was dead and buried. The reality that dead people stay dead, their bodies decay, the legacies eventually forgotten. (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/3-april-2021-dark-saturday/   Today’s Scripture is Luke 23.

Today is sometimes called “Maundy Thursday”, the day before what many people call “Good Friday.” Around the world, many people today will be reflecting on what is reported by the Gospel writers, to have taken place in Jerusalem about 2000 years ago, when Jesus and His disciples gathered in an upper room for the Passover meal.(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/thursday-1-april-2021-counselor/     Today’s Scripture is John 16:7-15. Choose below to read or listen. Pastor Doug Anderson    262.441.8785  “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, with our eyes fixed on Jesus…” (Heb. 12:1,2)Have a comment or question about today’s chapter? I’m ready to hear from you, contact me here.

  • 21.03.31 Traitor — John 13:21-38 and John 14:1-7
“Traitor” and “Betrayed” are among the most painful words spoken, aren’t they? Few things are more traumatic than being betrayed by a person who you thought was a friend, right? Yesterday we walked up those steps with Jesus and His friends, to an ‘upper room’ in Jerusalem. They’ve spent many months together, and this evening is one they’ve anticipated for a long time. (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/wednesday-31-march-2021-traitor/   Today’s Scripture is John 13:21-38 and John 14:1-7. Choose below to read or listen.John 13John 14Pastor Doug Anderson    262.441.8785  “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, with our eyes fixed on Jesus…” (Heb. 12:1,2)Have a comment or question about today’s chapter? I’m ready to hear from you, contact me here.

  • 21.03.30 Upper Room — John 13:1-31
Down through history very important meetings have taken place ‘behind closed doors’ with results which have shaped our world. Political agreements have been reached which have ended wars or forged international alliances. Business meetings have united large corporations or birthed new ventures. Scientific meetings have launched antidotes to plagues or pandemics.  But of all such meetings, I’d like to invite us, over these next three days, to join the meeting which ultimately has impacted more people around the world than any other. It took place in Jerusalem and John the beloved disciple gives us four chapters of his description of this upper room evening with Jesus and His disciples, on the eve of His Easter weekend which changed the course of the human race. (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/tuesday-30-march-2021-upper-room/   Today’s Scripture is John 13:1-31.

Have you ever stood in a place which has a very rich history, and you either read or recount in your mind some of the great events which have occurred in that place in the past? Perhaps you’ve stood in Rome near the ruins of the Coliseum, or in Athens, or in Egypt near the pyramids or maybe you’ve had the remarkable privilege of being in Jerusalem!  Would you join me today, standing on the hills east of Jerusalem? Allow time to roll back, about 2000 years… look around, do you see and hear the crowds all around you? • 21.03.27 Walking Dead — John 11:1-44
There are words in every language which stir up deep soul pain. In English some of those words are “funeral”, “casket”, “corpse”, “morgue”, “terminal”, “death”. No matter the age, no matter the circumstances, everything related to ‘death’ is something we human beings will do almost anything to avoid, right? Yet, it is the ONE thing we will each experience, and in most cases we don’t know when, where or how it will happen to us. Death is inescapable. It may be delayed, maybe even a long time, but it is inevitable, for all of us, each of us, every living human being, right?(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/weekend-edition-27-28-march-2021-walking-dead/    Today’s Scripture is John 11:1-44.
