  • 21.05.10 Transformed By Jesus – Acts 9:17-25
When was the last time you found yourself in a precarious, strategic, possibly life changing situation? Your actions, your words in those moments could shape your future and possibly that of other people? If it’s been a while for you, don’t be surprised if it happens THIS WEEK! As fast as things are changing all around us you may well find yourself confronted with a situation where you need to declare what you are firmly convinced is unwavering, unchanging truth… perhaps about the sanctity of life for the unborn, or gender being non-negotiable and determined before birth, or legitimate, God affirmed marriage as only between one male and one female, or parental responsibility for the nurture & training of their children in morality and God honoring sexuality. • 21.05.07 Blinded – Acts 9:1-9
I wonder what you think the concept of you and me actually taking every step, every day in ‘lock step’ with Jesus actually means? Every choice we make, every word we speak, every attitude we allow to simmer in our hearts, every relationship with another person, … doing so with Jesus at our side. If that were true and millions of us were doing that, what difference would that make in our world where you and I live? In recent months our world has seen major, radical, leadership efforts in attempts to change what is viewed as morally right and wrong, how families function, how health care and education function, how we respond to crisis, especially global crisis etc. It is happening in America and many other countries.  Have you noticed a continual intensification of pressure, by these leadership forces, to PUSH GOD OUT, completely OUT, of every segment of daily life? That’s why I am asking you today, what it really means in your life to ‘walk in lock step with Jesus’ everyday, because societies around the world are saying ‘NO…we don’t want Jesus or people who walk with Jesus in any roles of leadership or influence. In fact, we don’t want you HERE among us!’ Is that an overstatement of social opinion? How are you responding to this radical change in our world my friends?(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/friday-07-may-2021-blinded/     Today’s Scripture is Acts 9:1-9. Choose below to read or listen.Pastor Doug Anderson    262.441.8785  “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, with our eyes fixed on Jesus…” (Heb. 12:1,2)Have a comment or question about today’s chapter? I’m ready to hear from you, contact me here.

  • 21.05.06 Azotus – Acts 8:35-40
Have you experienced some amazing things in your life my friends? Perhaps you call them miracles. Maybe you simply say they are outrageous, unexplainable events. Maybe you say it was an encounter with God and God did what you don’t fully understand. Yesterday we were with Philip as he was standing alongside the road, near Jerusalem, when a fancy chariot came by and the Holy Spirit instructed Philip to run up to it and speak to the royal person in that chariot. Luke identifies him as an Ethiopian official, in fact he was in charge of the treasury for the country of Ethiopia! I imagine these two men had very little in common, but Philip was obedient and soon he was actually up in the chariot, riding along with this official explaining Isaiah 53 in response to the questions of this official!(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/thursday-06-may-2021-azotus/    Today’s Scripture is Acts 8:35-40.

  • 21.05.05 Interruption – Acts 8:26-35 Isaiah 53
Have you ever been minding your own business, going about life according to plan when suddenly, out of nowhere, something happens which calls for your attention…right now! What did you do in that unexpected moment of interruption? The Bible is filled with these unexpected moments and very often they are God sent moments of opportunity. If the person ignores or rejects the ‘defining moment’ they miss out on something special. If they step forward, even if it’s a very inopportune time, and are willing to take a faith step with God, it usually results in something beyond amazing, and something which helps define the rest of their life! We’ve been tracking with Philip for the past few days, and today, join me in Acts 8:26 where suddenly, out of nowhere, Philip has such an experience! (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/wednesday-05-may-2021-interruption/    Today’s Scriptures is Acts 8:26-35 and Isaiah 53. Choose below to read or listen.Isaiah 53.Pastor Doug Anderson    262.441.8785  “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, with our eyes fixed on Jesus…” (Heb. 12:1,2)Have a comment or question about today’s chapter? I’m ready to hear from you, contact me here.

  • 21.05.01 Great Joy – Acts 8:1-8
Because I’m preparing this edition of “Walking with Jesus” a few days ahead, I wonder what the news headlines from around the world will be on this weekend as we enter this new month of May? Yesterday we considered the public murder of Stephen, one of the 7 selected to care for the practical needs of widows and others, in the great ‘spiritual movement’ which was gaining great momentum in Jerusalem, in the weeks and months following Jesus’ return to heaven. Stephen was stoned to death under the watchful and approving eye of several religious leaders in Jerusalem who were totally opposed to anything related to Jesus. (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/weekend-edition-1-2-may-2021-great-joy/   Today’s Scripture is Acts 8:1-8.
